real question is can men and men be friends

[-] SoupBrick@pawb.social 59 points 3 weeks ago

What if we touched tips, but in a chaste and pure way that emphasizes our brotherly bond? 😇🙏

[-] Unknown_0671 3 points 3 weeks ago

innovative ways to do incest

[-] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 24 points 3 weeks ago

Only if you say no homo at every available opportunity.

[-] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 7 points 3 weeks ago

Even when we get the lube out?

[-] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago

All good, just make sure you say no homo in sync with each thrust.

[-] tetris11@feddit.uk 2 points 3 weeks ago

a thrust ends on the down motion, just to be clear

[-] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 weeks ago

Correct. The start of the phrase must coincide with moment the down thrust begins and be perfectly timed so the utterance completes at the completion of the trust or both of you will become irrevocably gay. Happened to a good friend of mine and he was forced to move to the Castro District in San Fransico.

better yet, can women and women just be friends!??!!

[-] MarcomachtKuchen@feddit.org 20 points 3 weeks ago

Can even friends?

[-] TherapyGary 46 points 3 weeks ago

Lmao is there context, or is this just an absurd shitpost? I think it's funnier if it's just pure absurdity

[-] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 23 points 3 weeks ago

It is absurdism.

[-] megopie 36 points 3 weeks ago

That, or, hear me out, the owners of these publishers are pushing an agenda to shape the public narrative around certain issues.

[-] lowleekun@ani.social 19 points 3 weeks ago

Deflect from real issues, divide the people to weaken them and keep them entertained.

Ohh how often i hear "Revolution is so bloody, you would not want to witness one". Ohh is it as bloody as corporations milking people dry around the world, having the blood of millions on their hand? Not even gonna talk about peaceful revolutions. Another classic "We will stand up when it gets too bad". Ohh like in north korea? When exactly is bad enough? When corporations have absolute control and surveilance (can't be too long with Palantir grabbing Data from more and more citizens)?

People HATE talking about global warming and the rise of fascism. Like i do not mean online. But have you tried talking about this irl? I get shut down so fast i could explode. Everytime. But what grinds my gears most? That i KNOW i am not doing enough. That i myself sit in that comfy seat at my comfy, nonsense-job. While injustice grows all around me and i can for the love of god not find the people i can fight together with.

Ding ding ding

[-] SARGE@startrek.website 29 points 3 weeks ago

Damn I've got so many women to cut ties with, since apparently we can't be just friends and my wife would probably not be okay with me lusting after all of them.

Oh wait, I forgot this isn't a twisted manosphere world, it's real life!

[-] grysbok@lemmy.sdf.org 12 points 3 weeks ago

If you can't befriend them, join them?

[-] SARGE@startrek.website 9 points 3 weeks ago
[-] glizzyguzzler@piefed.blahaj.zone 1 points 3 weeks ago

Keiko knows it’s already all about boys night out anyway

[-] MrLLM@ani.social 26 points 3 weeks ago

I think I’m out of the loop. Can someone point out what Mr Breast has to do with the question?

[-] ComfortableRaspberry@feddit.org 9 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Read the preview texts of the articles. They mention Mr Beast and his role in friendships

[-] TriflingToad@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 weeks ago

celebratory 24 hours of sweet bread substance

[-] GiveOver@feddit.uk 7 points 3 weeks ago

I wouldn't be friends with any girl who was attracted to Mr Beast

[-] sem 6 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Beast. Mr Breast is different. But still someone please answer the question.

[-] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 weeks ago

Read the article summaries.

[-] sem 1 points 3 weeks ago

They're all non sensical. Like they literally don't make any sense to me.

[-] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago

That is the joke.

The joke is that the person hid mentions of Mr. Beast into the article summaries as most people wouldn't care to read them.

[-] sem 1 points 3 weeks ago

How did one person write all those articles on multiple different sites?

I don't get it.

[-] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 weeks ago

They didn't, they edited the screenshot.

Mr Beast is a YouTube guy right? The guy with the dead psychopath eyes in pictures?

What's he got to do with anything outside of YouTube, let alone some sort of driving force across all of global society?

[-] YourMomsTrashman@lemmy.world 24 points 3 weeks ago

He's got a powerful laser

[-] JackbyDev@programming.dev 20 points 3 weeks ago
[-] ColdSideOfYourPillow@piefed.social 10 points 3 weeks ago

THAT DAMN FUCKING LASER!

[-] DrPop@lemmy.world 19 points 3 weeks ago

Newsflash, you can be attracted to someone and still be their friend. Just don't be wierd.

[-] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 24 points 3 weeks ago

Unless Mr Beast has his laser (read the article summaries).

[-] zea_64 4 points 3 weeks ago

It took me a long time to comprehend that most people don't need to be friends first to feel attraction.

[-] zea_64 18 points 3 weeks ago

Can bisexual people have any friends 🤔

[-] yoriaiko 14 points 3 weeks ago

I'm friendzoning them all, men, women, pets, even kids. But You know who I would never friendzone?

I especially enjoy the one that says "Mr. and his Beast Laser", implying that his first name is Mr. and his surname is Beast

[-] garbagebagel@lemmy.world 10 points 3 weeks ago

My eyes went wrong and read the second one as "it's impossible to maintain a class relationship" and you know what? Yeah fuck the bourgeoise.

[-] Alfredolin@sopuli.xyz 9 points 3 weeks ago

Do be can men friends or women?

[-] dangling_cat@piefed.blahaj.zone 4 points 3 weeks ago

Moderator Guidelines

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
