to be fair i am trying to give off the vibe that im someone who actually believes it pretending to be someone who doesnt believe it pretending to actually believe it when i dont and then being upfront about not actually believing it when stuff like this comes up but then pretending that the apology was satire when i need to reinforce the faux authenticity of the community and then of course ultimately looping back around and having to admit that that too was satire in an endless loop of post post post irony

Agreed, this isn't the kind of thing that should fly or be okay because the person who said the bad thing said they were joking.

"Jokes" here seems to me like a cheap excuse not to get banned or criticized for it.

The first step to becoming a dull clown is always not understanding jokes. Feel free to take it personally.

There is a difference in claiming something is a joke that sounds like an authentic viewpoint (Dave Chappelle on trans people) and a viewpoint that is expressed in a way that calls attention to how bad it is. I am confused by the number of people who don't see that difference. I feel like watching a single episode of the older Simpsons episodes would illustrate that difference perfectly.
