Also, I messed up my last one. Can you please move #830E0D at 20,19 to #830E0D at 19,20?

Just like Reagan and the Black Panthers, Republicans have no problem with gun control as long as it doesn’t target cis white people

You should check out the TESA Collective, they make some cool games. I really like their game Community Garden.

Yeah, that does suck. I do struggle a bit to fall asleep the first few nights without it, since I’m used to having a bowl before bed, but the thing that really gets me is how crazy vivid my dreams are when I’m taking a break. I’m prone to night terrors too, so it’s a bit of a roll of the dice on what those dreams are gonna be like

Chapel perilous (en.wikipedia.org)

As used in psychology

"Chapel perilous" is also a term referring to a psychological state in which an individual is uncertain whether some course of events was affected by a supernatural force, or was a product of their own imagination. It was used by writer and philosopher Robert Anton Wilson in his 1977 book Cosmic Trigger. According to Wilson, being in this state leads the subject to become either paranoid or an agnostic;[5] in his opinion there is no third way.[5] The term "chapel perilous" was used by Antero Alli, in his 1986 book, Angel Tech: A Modern Shaman's Guide to Reality Selection which is based on Timothy Leary's eight-circuit model of consciousness. In Alli's book, chapel perilous is a rite of passage, when moving between the four lower circuits of consciousness to the higher circuits.

Yeah, I’m probably addicted to cannabis. That doesn’t particularly bother me, as it doesn’t negatively impact my life. I keep it to nights and weekends, and I don’t spend more on it than I can afford. I honestly have a much harder time quitting coffee than I do cannabis. If I go on vacation, I never have a problem leaving my weed at home, but I’ll be damned if I don’t have my caffeine. And that doesn’t seem to be a particularly harmful addiction either.

It’s funny, because they clearly have the idea in their head that Wikipedia is a single organization capable of an ideological bias. When if you take a single look at some talk pages, it would become clear very quickly that Wikipedia is built on people vociferously disagreeing and bringing sources to make the information presented ever more credible and unbiased.

That’s good to hear! I’ve heard a lot of good things about Milan. If you don’t mind my asking, how expensive are we talking?

[-] compostgoblin 2 points 4 days ago

Thank you, I’ll definitely be careful!

Chest, probably, at least to start. My chest and beard hair give me the most dysphoria, but I’m wary of starting with my beard, since if I screw it up it would be more visible.

I’m pretty over shaving constantly, but I don’t think I can afford to go somewhere to get laser or electrolysis done professionally right now. How effective are at-home options? Which models of devices are recommended, if any?

This was originally posted several years before he became well known. I suppose there’s actually a chance he saw it at some point, but I didn’t post it with him in mind though

I have a 12-gauge Mossberg 500, but I primarily use it for deer hunting with slugs. I want to get a handgun to add to my collection, primarily for self-defense. I don’t plan on concealed carrying at the moment. Glock G19 Gen 5 seems like the way to go, imo, but I’d love to hear any reasons why there might be a better alternative I should look into.

Eh, not so much. The special election is in May, but this ballot proposal won’t be voted on until the general election in November.

Also, this proposal automatically comes up every 16 years, and it’s been voted down the past three times it’s come up.

Over the past ten years, I’ve voted, donated, volunteered, organized, protested, called my representatives, and more. I’ve done anything but sit on my ass and let this happen. And a lot of other people who have done the same are being hurt now, and even more will be hurt before this is over. So thank you for being smug, it’s really going to help us now.

I am in the process of purchasing a home, and the house that it’s looking like I am likely to buy has a Ring alarm system and camera installed. I like the idea of having burglar alarms on the windows and doors, but I do not want to use Ring. Between their ownership from Amazon and sharing data with the cops, I don’t trust them.

Are there privacy-friendly home security systems out there that don’t require an ongoing subscription? Bonus points if the devices are HomeAssistant compatible.
