Trans people are very welcome here in western Washington. The more, the merrier! Don't settle east of the Cascades, though.
Know anyone hiring in tech?
^ that too. Will install software patches 4 food!
Anyone got a map I can actually look at? Wont let me zoom in on mobile.
Edit: nevermind got it. Here link for others.
Any advice for people looking to move to that end of the country? Ive lived in England so the rain doesnt bug me.
Buy a Subaru. Never use an umbrella. Become a coffee snob.
In all seriousness, the west coast is a beautiful place, so the best thing you can do is get some good gear and a pass and go out hiking, biking, and generally explore all over.
Sadly a lot of are cities aren’t as walkable as the ones in Europe, but Seattle and Portland have a decent transit system at least.
I'm so glad I can feel safe here. I love this place.
Best place in the country!
Had to fly the kids back to the US to visit their grandfather one last time and we made damn sure the flights did not go through the southern hubs.
OTOH my mother acknowledged our son who used to be their granddaughter...so goddamn if that wasn't heartwarming.
Stay safe my brothers, sisters and enby-pals!
I'm in the dark dark :(
so am i :(. Grew up here and lived here most of my life.
I am fortunate enough to be able to finally get out of here to one of the bluest places later this year if things go to plan.
I'm stuck here for collage for 4 years at least :(
I wish you luck in your future though! 🩷
sigh :c
