Wait, I counted X=56 and Y=35! Y was easier with every color having about 9 except one had had 8. I used the "waves" in the pattern on the x axis, with 6 amongi every wave fairly consistently.

edit: never mind, you were right. I goofed on the X, it was 6 less than I thought. final count was X=50 and Y=35. I shouldn't have trusted my infamously terrible counting skills 🙂‍↕️

Surprised you counted to 35!, that must've taken a while

[-] TotallynotJessica 1 points 1 day ago

It's easier when you can break them up into chunks. If it weren't for the consistent wave pattern, I never could've counted the X

[-] Odo@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

It was a math joke. 35! is roughly 1.03x10^40.

[-] TotallynotJessica 7 points 1 day ago

exactly. if I couldn't break them into chunks of 12!, it would've been impossible

The Nonbinary pride flag, comprised of 88 twerking crew mates from Among Us

I couldn't find one with the 1575 crewmates :(

[-] TotallynotJessica 14 points 1 day ago

you only found 88 amongi :(

[-] TastehWaffleZ@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Did you fucking count them???

[-] TotallynotJessica 3 points 1 day ago

11 horizontally, 8 vertically

The Linux solution: compile it yourself! https://github.com/ThatOneCalculator/Among-Us-Dumpy-Gif-Maker

There's actually several of these, not too surprising. They seemed obviously generated due to the phase shifting of the "pixels".

the violet stripe is thinner—its height consists of 8 crewmates vs 9 for other colors

there's a row of crewmates who are neither fully white or fully violet, so that makes me think the enby flag is an overlay

[-] AdrianTheFrog@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

I would guess it's the average color under the crewmate, or just sampled at the center point from a rescaled image.

It looks like the color never changes over a crewmate, so it's probably not just an overlay

Someone also linked above a generator for these images but it sounds like there are several

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
