Scope creep: this time we're sure it won't be a disaster at all.

Really neat if they could pull it off and have it not ruin anything else in the game, though I think I'd want any social stuff to be optionally enabled rather than always on.

Random mutation. If it reproduces successfully, those genes pass on. If successful enough, it could become the dominant variety. If not successful, that variety will be a small population or die out. That's all there is to it.

For fuck's sake, I was make a tongue-in-cheek joke about not wanting to believe how shitty people can be in hopes of someone getting the tiniest little chuckle out of it.

I, on the other hand, much prefer being able to play an MMO solo and grouping with people when I decide to be social. Locking content behind grouping is just plain annoying. As with all games, I'm there to explore the world and the story and the less I have other humans involved in that, the better in most cases.

We were very different ages in 2013, I think, heh. I got laid off from a job, sacrificed basically everything to try life in another country, failed to get a job and visa in time, and later wrapped it up by breaking my leg and ankle rather badly.

As someone who's been a software developer for over a decade and in IT even longer, I still don't use vi/vim for anything other than when crontabs have it set as the editor.

The fuck is a "sizzle reel". I mean, I get what it probably is from context, but who comes up with this shit

at the current price of silver ($735/kg) you'd need coins a bit over 136kg per $100,000

I live in earthquake, volcano, and tsunami territory, so I think I'll keep charging to 100% for now.

When I lived in the US and went through a hurricane, we had no power for almost 2 weeks and that stuck with me.
