Steam is a publisher that is free to decide what is or is not allowed on their platform. Everyone is free to choose not to use Steam, just as everyone is free to choose not to play Horses, and platforms are free to not host it. Why should Steam be forced to host it if they have decided not to?

"I deal with enough tinkering on computers at work, when I get home I just want it to work" Proceeds to spend hours getting mod packs installed on games they play for a week, month tops

What are you on about Millenials barely remembering floppies? We grew up using them until at least highschool, even if other writable media existed before then.

That still requires gathering the dirty items together, loading/unloading, keeping track of when it is full/time to run. People saying this mean they want a robot like Rosie from the Jetsons to take care of that sort of housekeeping, not for a machine that makes the task easier to do themself.

Edit: to be clear, I don't think a washer machine or dishwasher is a hassle and problem that needs solving, but that doesn't take away from the message of "AI should help make life easier, not replace the creative outlets additional free time should allow"

That's usually the case, sure, but you realize in this instance they don't mean boomer as actual boomer, but as anyone and everyone over 30?

OSHA-chan just wants to make sure you get home to your plushies every night

Nah, some people might get offended right from the get go if you start talking about the basics with them, but it's only a problem if you continue to insist that you know better than them once it becomes clear they have an understanding of the topic. Like, if you're excited to talk about dinosaurs and the person you're talking to is a paleontologist, but you pivot to talking about deeper aspects of the topic once you realize, you're all good! Even better if you start asking them questions to learn from their expertise.

On the other hand, if you realize that they are a paleontologist and completely disregard that, insisting to them that you actually know more than them, or continue trying to explain base concepts, then yeah, you're a jerk.

Couldn't they have gone the other route and made the villain's plans a year later? But sounds like it was a lot of fun the way it was run!

I know it's green text, but assuming they called the suicide hotline before as well they must have done their job too

Windows doesn't even cover everything you just said. The number of times Windows 10 broke my Bluetooth devices and I had to much around in registry to remove the device profile just to try to repair the device, is part of the reason I switched to Linux in the first place.

Yes, many distros need a little refining and smoothing for the general public, but only because people are so used to dealing with bullshit troubleshooting on Windows that they don't see it as bullshit anymore.
