Panoptishower

[-] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 20 points 7 hours ago

All those windows, that's not a bathroom, it's a bath showroom

[-] rockSlayer 43 points 8 hours ago

I kinda like it. The unacceptable part is how it's a regular showerhead and not a ceiling rain head

[-] errer@lemmy.world 7 points 6 hours ago

Rain head won’t flush my asshole properly

[-] Banana@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 hours ago

Every rain shower I've seen also had a hand-held shower head you could turn on optionally

[-] Honytawk@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 5 hours ago

Increase its pressure then

[-] antonim@lemmy.world 11 points 5 hours ago

The direction is the trickier part of the problem. Bending over seems to be the only way to get the water directly hit the asshole, although then the asshole water would wash over the rest of your body as well

Plot twist: did you think that was a drain?

[-] antonim@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago

Ohh, I like that idea!

[-] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 10 points 8 hours ago

Yep. I'd probably sit down in there and stay under the water for ages

[-] Zizzy 19 points 7 hours ago

If youre going to have a shower like this, surely just all glass would be better

[-] tomenzgg@midwest.social 5 points 2 hours ago

And miss out on it feeling like a contamination chamber?

[-] baggachipz@sh.itjust.works 36 points 9 hours ago

Load-bearing shower

[-] biggerbogboy@sh.itjust.works 5 points 6 hours ago

Looks like a Danube class runabout transporter from Star Trek DS9

[-] cybervseas@lemmy.world 23 points 8 hours ago

Looks like a 60s sci-fi teleportation chamber

[-] SEND_BUTTPLUG_PICS@lemmy.zip 7 points 8 hours ago

I'm getting Portal test chamber exit vibes.

[-] Mirshe@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago

It's the suicide machine from A Taste of Armageddon.

This whole room screams "fire whoever let this monstrosity be built"

Multiple windows that aren't even connected? No way for privacy?

Carpeted bathroom?

Shower in middle of room?

Bad bad bad

[-] decolo@piefed.social 2 points 4 hours ago

This is just standard McMansion. At this point it's a stylistic choice.

[-] FireRetardant@lemmy.world 9 points 8 hours ago

The real sin here is that looks like carpet behind it in that semicircle area. Tbh I think this could have been cooler if the shower was somehow built into that semi circle, privacy doesn't seem to be a major concern anyway.

[-] adarza@piefed.ca 1 points 4 hours ago

but then where would you put the throne?

[-] 23lonestar@thelemmy.club 2 points 7 hours ago

Yeah that carpet is bothering me!

[-] LemmyPlaceDN@europe.pub 4 points 7 hours ago

Can anyone please explain to me why so many posters insert the word "rule" into the title? I've seen that a hundred times and everytime I wonder what the point is. I guess it's some kind of inside joke.

[-] birdwing 10 points 7 hours ago

its the ✨ rule ✨ of this bylemmy

originally 196 had a single rule, that you must post before you went on with your business

and that 'rule' turned into a tradition for the 196-type communities

[-] Honytawk@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 5 hours ago

Seems to me in the center. It just has a wash basin that takes up a portion.

[-] TheLeadenSea@sh.itjust.works 2 points 7 hours ago

I'd love to use that and let people watch me shower :3

I really expected an OF promoting account behind this comment. I’m surprised, but not in a negative way

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
