this is my last week of electrolysis! 🥳 Only a few weeks left until surgery.

I am fairly nervous, I have had only a couple laser sessions and fewer than 20 hours of electrolysis ... but the surgeon seems confident and they do follicular scraping (they told me they can realistically get around 50 hairs during the surgery, I think they individually cauterize each of the follicles on the skin graft).

It's been an absolutely terrible week, I wish I'd worked out what was happening sooner so I didn't have to face this alone.

I'm doing good! So good, in fact, that I think it's time to retire this account. Still ^not^ cis though :3

I'll still be around, of course, and regulars should have no problem figuring out my main account. But since I've posted a lot of rather personal stuff here, I'd rather not link the accounts explicitly. So no doxxing, please! See you all around.

I bought my first nail polish (pastel blue) this week ! I'm starting to think about coming out as transfem to my close friends, but I'm still reluctant. Not that I'm afraid of their reaction, I know they'll be accepting. I'm afraid of change, and coming out to people other than my girlfriend feels a little too real at the moment.

Yay, nail polish is so much fun :3

I had a lot of "oh shit, am I really doing this?" moments, too. But I think it's important to show confidence when you tell people, even if you don't feel it. So no rush.

Just a few more days, and i have several months to skill up and get a new job (DRP: admin leave with all pay and benefits intact through September). Nervous as hell about it but I've never really seen my future in federal employment, even before... the last several months. Aiming for 100% remote work to hopefully make leaving this state easier, since my lease ends at a bad time to be job searching (end of december).

Gonna use that time to catch up on uhhhh... roughly 10(?)+ years of not seeing a doctor, lose weight (a lot easier to diet when you're not eating out to avoid being in the office), exercise, etc. Really overdue to get a new mattress too, other than that i dont have any major expenses in my near future.

Also need to make decisions on where i want to end up living. There is very little that i will miss about Ohio long term. Got a few places on my "short" list; Minnesota, Chicago, Oregon, Washington state. I've looked around online at apartments (tbh rent in Chicago looks expensive AF from what i did look into online, not entirely sure I'll keep it on my list) in these places.

God the thought of having space far enough away from family is exciting; to finally get to seriously look into HRT, without being outed immediately by random people who know you/your family and gossiping about it.

Edit: oh, and I'm going to try again for an ADHD diagnosis(with a different psychologist). I forgot to cancel a followup appointment with the last one far enough in advance and just ate a fucking $200 late cancellation fee. Should've listened to the reviews for Lifestance...
