I took both of the other respondents suggestions. It only took a few minutes to get approved at both and now I can see Car Talk With Martok again.
I didn't even know that the admin of my instance banning someone would prevent me from seeing posts made in another instance.
I was disappointed when this happened but now I'm glad I can't find it anymore. I had become lazy, just putting it on everything. Now I have a variety of sauces I choose based on what I'm putting it on. There are a lot of good sauces out there. With proper pairing you might not miss Sriracha at all.

I remember Adira stating their pronouns, everyone accepting that and using those pronouns and never mentioning it again. I'm also pretty sure there wasn't any focus on Stamets' and Culber's "gay" relationship. Their relationship was part of several story elements but the gay aspect was not. Please remind me of any plots involving their relationship that would have to be changed if one of them was a woman.

That's what they did. Stamets and Culber were just there. Grey and Adira were just there. They used elements of the symbiote story as an allagory but their NB status just was. It seems like you're making it bigger in your mind.

I was one of the few people in my local party office that was for Bernie. I consider myself to the left of him. When they started to show up I thought "great, finally some more people on my side." Then they started flooding the meetings, yelling and screaming, at people that have been putting in hard work for years. They expected everyone to do what they want just because they showed up to a few meetings just before the primary.
Not a-fucking-one of them phone banked, canvassed, or anything else. Just red faced yelling at people that had donated their time for years. People I disagreed with, but knew and respected for years. They might have been on my side but I sure as hell wasn't on theirs. It almost turned me off of Bernie even though I know it wasn't his fault. I went from being firmly for him to considering Hillary because fuck those guys (not really, but I was pissed).
If you want the party to change, show up every meeting, not a few weeks every four years. I'll be there waiting, I could really use your help pulling this place to the left and getting more progressive candidates the support I think they deserve.
I live in California. I've been to Alabama, Portugal, and Latvia (just this year for the Baltics, great places). I disagree.
Parts of the deep south are just fucking alien in a way I've never felt anywhere else.
Different places in Europe are, of course, different. But different in a way you can wrap your head around with an undercurrent of commonality. The same things being done in interestingly different ways by normal people.
The sense of dislocation and strangeness I feel in certain (not all) places in the deep south is far beyond anything I've experienced, not just in Europe, but also Asia, South America, and North Africa.
Vilnius is fucking amazing. I really enjoyed my visit to the three Baltic nations recently. I'm glad I got there before all this started kicking off.
Coincidentally, I hope, several places I've visited in the last 15-20 years have become sketchy to travel to for one reason or another within a year or two after my visit. Maybe I should just stay home for the good of the world.
