croc>croc
Depends on the environment. When camping, in a tent without a floor, putting on each shoe right after the sock allows parking the shoed foot on the dirt while putting on the next sock and shoe.
But putting on both socks and then putting on both shoes is the default.
Camping is almost always a sock shoe, sock shoe. That way you keep your feet clean and your shoes out of the tent
People who don't wear shoes indoors and keep their floors clean generally put their socks on in their bedroom after they got out of bed and their shoes on in the entryway when they're about to go outside.
You know, people who don't live like animals.
Y'all wear socks in the house?!
Yes, because I have hardwood and tile floors. Shit's cold in the winter.
In the winter its unthinkable not to but in the summer it's unthinkable to wear socks. Why did my ancestors choose to settle down in Ontario where the weather is one extreme or the other
I love the extremes because you never get one extreme for too long. Just when the dark cold of winter starts to seep into your soul, spring rolls around, then when the storms and rain start to get too much the hot hot summer hits, then the mornings become crisp and the leafs turn every color of the rainbow for the warm seasons' last hurrah before it dives into a winter wonderland again
I rarely take my socks off when I take off my shoes (unless they're wet). Not out of principal or anything, out of laziness. Later I might decide I don't feel like wearing socks any more and then take them off.
But I don't put socks on in the first place, unless I'm about to go put on shoes. If I'm not wearing socks and my feet are cold I'll get my slippers.
When you live in a very small, uncarpeted apartment, the line between the entryway and the rest of the dwelling becomes fuzzy and permeable.
Wet or dirty floors invite to completely dress one foot first.
This response just raises further questions!
Hiking
Even so, I will sock, step on shoe, sock, put on shoe, put on other shoe. I would never, in any imaginable circumstance, have a sock and shoe on one foot while the other is bare. That is just insanity.
For me personally I change outfits several times a week in a public bathroom, so my main goal is simply to avoid letting my socks or any of my other clothing touch the floor.
Corollary to this, I actually complete one foot start to finish before moving on to the next. So at the halfway point I am fully wearing a new sock and shoe on one foot, while the other is still wearing my old sock and shoe
Pool
Sock-shoe-Sock-shoe-pants.
Sock-shoe-pant, sock-shoe-pant
This one right here officer, lock em up!
I'd actually be interested in seeing socks-pants vs pants-socks
Sock-pants is clearly superior, but pants-socks isn't so bad if the pants aren't too tight.
Sock > shoe > sock > shoe > underwear > pants > shirt.
P.S. why does naked except for shoes and socks feel MORE naked then just naked?
Socks and shoes only gives you the feeling that you're going to go places while naked
why does naked except for shoes and socks feel MORE naked
Because it implies you will also be somewhere you need foot protection.
I do sock shoe sock shoe at the gym because I don't want my socks on those grimey floors.
But at home it's sock sock shoe shoe
I do sock shoe sock shoe at the gym because I don’t want my socks on those grimey floors.
See, that's an acceptable circumstance for Sock Shoe Sock Shoe.
One day, you will.. Your knees will go and it'll just be easier to only change your position twice rather than four times...
I'm old, I'm fat, I'm lazy. I don't want to have to put my foot up on my knee twice as often.
Sock > shoe > sock > shoe
If you're wearing shoes inside the house you're all kinds of fucked already anyway.
My socks are in my bedroom and my shoes are by the door because I'm not a savage who tracks shit into my home. Am I supposed to just carry socks around while I get my shit together to go out?
When getting dressed at the local public pool I usually do this only because the floor is usually soaking wet.
Who puts on shoes right after putting on socks in the first place?
People who are putting on socks and shoes to be presentable outside of their house and have been barefoot or in sandals up to this point.
I put my socks on as soon as I get out of the shower, just after my underwear and undershirt. I don't put my shoes on until just before I leave my apartment.
Q: If you have 2 shoes and 1 sock, what do you need?
A: A sock.
😖🥊
Money.
Perhaps, or maybe someone needs to find an alternative type of wankerchief.
My shoes are by my front door so both socks first makes sense; there's no reason to carry. But not wear, my socks to the entryway
I put my sock inside my shoe and wear them both together in a smooth motion.
Sock shoe sock shoe is only valid when you're on a dirty floor (eg a beach), hopping around awkwardly on one foot, trying to stay as clean as possible
What kind of dirty weirdo does sock sock shoe shoe?? The clean socks inevitably touch the floor, dirty.
Edit: apparently it needs clarifying that you put the shoes AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE HOUSE where dirty shoes from the outside were previously removed. Y'all are crazy, where do you put shoes, on the bed!?
Its funny how the comment is obviusly wrong and you guys think its serious
My sister does sock-shoe to limit the amount of dog hair on the sock.
I do at gym
I do sock shoe sock shoe if I'm drying/cleaning my feet from a trip to the beach or for hiking a canoe portage.
