The crine in endocrine and exocrine come from Ancient Greek κρίνω (krínō) which has many definitions, allegedly including “to separate, also to secrete”.... Except, does it? The "to secrete" meaning of κρίνω was actually only added to wiktionary by a random IP address in 2023.

my dude, one of my surgeons had an accent so thick if i was in (severe) pain i needed an interpreter. he also had the tightest stitches on the west coast so hell yeah i was going to hire him. you're basically writing what it was like trying to listen to him in preop tho.

I saw an ad yesterday for AI to generate product pictures. They're not even hiding that AI is primarily a tool for conmen.
One is a symptom of the other. All the tech companies went insane in the covid years, gorged on free debt and infinite demand for their services. A drug high that would never end... until it did, of course.
Now they're all blowing their banks out trying to recapture the magic of that era, with """AI""" as their supposedly-golden ticket. A shame it'll all come crashing down soon, and take the world economy with it.
