The Verge basically just copied the notes from the Behind the Bastards episodes about Curtis Yarvin. A frustrating experience to listen to, and read about as well considering how Yarvin is so very full of bad ideas

You need to rethink your marketing strategy, and then having thought about it, stop posting on Lemmy.

I would love to hear more about this. Those books are SO long

There is no way that 99% of meetings are a waste of time. Like, many 70%, tops.

The Alex Verus series is great, he does a fantastic job of weaving a arc over 10 books that hits a fantastic climax for book 11 and finishes things up nicely at the of book 12. GRRM wishes he knew how to complete arcs so satisfyingly

Nice! Book 1 was pretty good, though the scenes where his cat got hurt were pretty tough to read for a softie like me

Always nice to have an Electromagnetic power source nearby

Still waiting for Rachel Notley to throw her hat into the ring for the NDP, that'd be a breath of fresh air

Only 1,000 people polled? We need more stats than that, before this can be called Data

  1. Pick some friends that you like
  2. Download "I Am Never Going To Give You Up" by Rick Roll
  3. Put the song on the disk in very low quality .mp3
  4. Give the disks away as "fun, retro" drink coasters
  5. Watch as they use the coasters, unaware that you Rick Rollered them

60% completed, should be done by end of year! :D

Meet Barley (lemmy.world)
submitted 2 months ago by kat_angstrom@lemmy.world to c/aww@lemmy.world

Got Barley from the shelter a few weeks back, she's 7. All her life her name has been "Harley", but she responds to "Barley" so we're going with it

Not sure if it's the same mourning Dove as last time but I'm only a little creeped out so it's fine, it's totally fine. This is fine.

I'm not sure what made me so interesting

We're currently Cat-Sitting for family members, this is Nami! She barks little meows like a dog, and absolutely loves staring out the window all day. :)

Taken last week, apparently it posed somewhat majestically

I hate how this is phrased as "redundancies". IGN literally JUST bought these outlets, they haven't had time to dig into and examine the organizations they acquired; it's just straight into the Corpo playbook of "lay people off and let the dust settle where it may".

These are people, not "redundancies". They contributed in the old organization, and they could contribute in the new, but they never even got the chance.

Our 12 year old Bombay cat, Hypurrtia, and the sounds she makes.

"Hypurrtia" is intended to be a cat pun of "Hypatia".

I hope her sounds fill your hearts with joy
