I find this drama incredibly dull. If people were actually thinking Hasan was torturing his dog they wouldn't be making memes about it. It's just the newest drama for the drama farm. Sigh. Kinda disappointed seeing it here :/
making/sharing memes is actually one outlet for things i care about and believe in :) i have whole series of memes about feminist thought, prison abolition, pro-Palestine action and more on this very account. just adding one small one about room for growth in animal treatment.
You do know that Kaya has fur that's too think for shock collars, or that one of his friends runs an animal shelter? You think that he's been able to hide his "torture" so well that none of his friends know, but he's stupid enough and decides to use a shock collar live on stream? If you really believe any of these things and decide to spend your time making memes about that other than advocating for the other things you supposedly believe in... Yeah, I don't really think you care about much at all if that's the case.
The Hassan fans really are invested, huh. OP said they were trying to improve animal treatment, not cancel Hassan. If you see all criticism as obsession, then maybe you've got some parasocial issues to contend with.
Like all people, left-wing commentators are allowed to be imperfect. Consequently, they are not immune from criticism.
https://invidious.privacyredirect.com/watch?v=XZU2qy3CRk0&t=164 He didn't even use the collar in the clip...
Except the thing being talked about literally didn't even happen.
Hasan (not Hassan btw) shouldn't be cancelled because the thing everyone is talking about never happened. It's a fabrication.
Stop giving into this framework
What it tells me is that his haters are grasping at straws. They're constantly looking for anything they can jump on to try to discredit him, and this is the best they could do.
Yeah, I'm just tired how widespread this obvious lie is...
oh no, a dog god shock collared (maybe). How horrible, anyway, let me eat some pig flesh and drink some cow rape juice.
You criticize society yet you participate in it
You criticise slavery yet you own slaves, curious 🧐
If you eat meat, all animal cruelty should be fair game!
the other way around actually
If you eat fair game, all animal cruelty should be meat?
oh no a dog possibly being tortured
so, did you know i'm vegan?
directly supporting a much worse treatment of many many more animals that have the same if not higher sentience/ intelligence levels than a dog while being outragaged about a single dog is just hypocritical is all.
i mean, yeah sure, but there's no need to make torturing one animal sound like it's not a problem, just because we're actively torturing and killing a bunch of other animals
If I was regularly beating my spouse and then went online and got outraged about a person being an abuser, it'd be ridiculous. that's how I feel about animal eaters.
ok
SOMETHING happened. we may never know what exactly. but hasan needs to show his audience how to care for pets better. even in the most charitable framing, taking out anger verbally at his clearly stressed pet is not acceptable.
best outcome is everyone learns, the dog is safe, and this never happens again.
That was the dumbest shit drama to pump. It's like the hate watchers actively combing through the kirk shooter to find anything trans related
Hating animal abusing, genocide denying p*litical str**mers isn't the same as scraping the bottom of the barrel for excuses to hate crime trans people

Get your bag bud but don't be this angry online. It's not fooling anyone

Moderator Guidelines
Moderator Guidelines
- Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
- Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
- When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
- Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
- Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
- Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
- Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
- Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
- Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
- Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
- Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
- Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
- First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
- Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
- No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
- Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
- Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
