US Democrats have made public a 238-page scrapbook given to Jeffrey Epstein as a present on his 50th birthday. The letters repeatedly reference the sex offender’s lecherous reputation

Wasn't planning to see a zebra creampie today

[-] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 15 points 7 hours ago

I was, just not on the guardian

[-] D_C@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 hour ago

I am also going to the zoo...dressed as a sultry lady zebra!!

The administration:

Why am I hearing so much about this fucking guy's birthday card? Just release the papers already

[-] Serinus@lemmy.world 17 points 7 hours ago

Because it's relevant. There's some damning stuff in here. Read the PDFs.

Trump's angry, calling it a hoax. It's nice that he likes to confirm the crazy/sleezy shit like that.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 13 points 9 hours ago

Watching his Spokes-Barbie trying to clarify what the explanation was to call that a "hoax" was high comedy.

[-] fossman2112@lemmy.ml 81 points 12 hours ago

The continued escalating absurdity of everything that happens within the Trump administration has me now fully convinced that I never stopped tripping that time in 1995. I want to wake up, it’s too fucked up to be real. even though I have really enjoyed much of the last 30 years, especially my wife and cats, i am OK with going back and continuing on a better timeline lol

[-] Today@lemmy.world 26 points 10 hours ago

When i get high I'm often scared that my whole life is fake and I'll wake up in my 12 year old life. I make my husband promise to do everything exactly the same so we end up together again. I'll be nicer to my mom next time. And I'll start the dogs eye drops earlier.

Doc Brown isn't saving you this time, but we can make the future better!

[-] MadMadBunny@lemmy.ca 5 points 7 hours ago

Forget Doc Brown, that level of fuck up calls for The Doctor…

[-] fossman2112@lemmy.ml 12 points 11 hours ago

Forget Doc Brown, I need Doc Timothy Leary! lol

[-] Karyoplasma@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago)

If the issue is that you're still tripping, you'd need pretty much anyone but him.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 9 hours ago

He might have advice on set and setting so that you don't have a hellscape like this one for your trip...

[-] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 25 points 11 hours ago

Why aren't they showing the entire thing? It's missing the 8 or 9ish y.o. girl and a toddler. It's also missing some incriminating writings. See for yourself.

I am always about seeing the proof, but this is one link I won't click.

[-] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 16 points 10 hours ago

They've covered the faces, but it it's not great. I'm going to put a trigger warning on the young girl and toddler, but the rest is okay, you won't see anything unless you read it or really look at it. This is just what I've gone through so far, I could only take so much.

In section called children and he isn't known to have any children

underage maybe?

[-] floofloof@lemmy.ca 9 points 10 hours ago

It's quite heavily redacted.

[-] axEl7fB5@lemmy.cafe 3 points 10 hours ago

use proton drive or something

[-] saigot@lemmy.ca 6 points 8 hours ago

Is there any info on what page 218 (the fully redacted page) is?

[-] runner_g 4 points 6 hours ago

given the pictures on 216 and 217, i'm going to guess a full page nude

[-] Substance_P@lemmy.world 27 points 12 hours ago

Is it just me, or have a lot of these posts been taken down today? Let's hope this one survives.

[-] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 9 points 10 hours ago

It fell off the front page pretty quickly, but this is still up.

[-] Serinus@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

Is it? It might take down the guy who murdered him.

That's not a bad birthday gift. Except for the whole getting murdered part, but that's already done.

[-] alaphic@lemmy.world 12 points 12 hours ago

I know one I commented in just a few hours ago has since mysteriously disappeared...

[-] SnotFlickerman 22 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

"Mysteriously" why not check the mod log? News@lemmy.world has rules that they have to be actual news sources, not the MeidasTouch post on Meta's Threads app.

I posted on that same one, but I looked at the modlog and the mod who removed it asked to use an actual news source or just post that source in a more appropriate community.

This kind of conspiratorial thinking doesn't help us.

News rule in question:

From the modlog:

[-] alaphic@lemmy.world 5 points 6 hours ago

In my defense, I didn't know I was able to check the mod log, nor am I aware of how to do so, so my bad... I just remembered seeing the post and being disgusted, I couldn't even tell you what sub it was in.

And yea, maybe I was a little hasty in labeling it 'mysterious' but considering we currently have a senile pedophile in the white house who seems determined to be the next Kim Jung Il and is only too happy to rewrite history while siccing his clown shoes gestapo on people indiscriminately, I'd say if there's a time to be paranoid, this is fucking it.

[-] whiwake@lemmy.cafe 26 points 12 hours ago

Regardless of the content, that’s a really shitty birthday book.

[-] cannon_annon88@lemmy.today 8 points 11 hours ago

I can't even read half the shit in there
