On November 1, Germany introduces a law making it easier to alter the gender marker and name on official documents. Transgender, intersex, non-binary people have welcomed the move but conservatives are opposed.

im so vvv sad that so many are actively against comf feels :( and i wish so very much that at the other leading party will not be cdu cuz they are also old, rich-peeps-oriented and conservative ;( . biggggsad.

Even if the AfD isn't in a coalition, a member of the CDU literally described itself as "AfD but with democracy". And they are conservative shits favoring the AfD.

I'm actually generally scared of the fact that the entire world seems to wander more into right-wing conservatism...

My main hope is that parties like the AfD, the FPÖ (right-wing extremist party that won the election in Austria), Trump, ... will see things like gender identity as more of a side issue in the world and not doing anything, neither good nor bad because they have "better" things to do. I have no clue how gender identity even became a political issue in the first place but it really needs to stop
