I started exercising for the first time in like 4 years. Just solid 30 minute cardio sessions on an elliptical machine (doesn't cause me knee pain). First time sucked and i was extremely sore afterwards. Second time sucked slightly less, somewhat less sore. Third time (today) wasn't horrible, and I'm... a little tender and a bit tired, but otherwise feel fine? Planning to add leg day on top of cardio in a week or so once I've got a consistent habit built a little more.

Also, its fucking hot out, and my AC cant keep up (combination cheap/crappy AC unit and second/top floor apartment). Its going to be 90 degrees or higher out for the foreseeable future, and its been about 76-80 degrees indoors by the afternoon, stays that way until almost midnight 😭

Way to go! I've just started working out again too and I absolutely share your pain. I've been doing strength training though, I always struggle to get outside to do cardio when it's this damn cold haha. Good on you for looking after your knees and best of luck when you start doing leg day, I know a lot of people hate it, but personally it's my favourite.

Either way, keep it up! I hope we both stick to our plans and make amazing progress.

Oh i love leg day, i enjoy the shaky leg feeling after squat lifting, best kind of tired soreness 😁

I cannot do the whole "outside" thing. Nature wants to kill me via plantmatter. So all my cardio is strictly indoors
