I'm pro-choice but if you do it recreationally you're a shit person in my book.
Recreational abortions dont exist. There may be people with multiple abortions, but its not a situation women put themselves in. It's not a fun day no matter the procedure.
Consider mental health, rape, stupidity, not everyone is you with your thought process. You may actually be above average intelligence, and if you are consider how scary that is. How many people don't have the cause and effect reasoning you do. We can't judge people with abortions if we can't judge people with credit card debt.
"Recreational abortions" is just forced birther propaganda, and it amazes me how many are gullible enough to think that people would go through such a traumatic and "shameful" experience (because of people who say ignorant shit like this) for recreational purposes.
And people of color before that.

I think they hold issue with you perpetrating a myth that people have abortions for fun or fashion, which is usually a mindset that comes with a ton of other regressive beliefs.
Not op, but it's likely because recreational abortions are as much a thing as recreational brick eating or something. Yet you're implying they are a thing, for some reason.
I prefer root canals as a comparison.
Some people don't brush their teeth well or often, or eat a bunch of sweets, and need root canals. It may be that they could have taken action to prevent it by exercising good oral hygeine, but they aren't out there getting root canals for fun.
And then some people have a genetic predisposition to cavities and tooth decay, and even with good oral hygiene they still might end up requiring a root canal. And some people end up having an injury that results in a root canal, completely outside of their control.
But nobody is out there getting "recreational" root canals. The idea is stupid. And absolutely nobody is trying to restrict access to root canals because some people don't brush well, or gasp had more than one root canal. Because root canals, though not the preferred choice, are a necessary part of dental care.

early pregnancies are tiny dots of flesh, smaller than getting a mole removed or picking your nose. There's no need to romanticise disposing of it, it's barely beyond the stage of discarding a used condom.
If an animal is living inside your body against your choice, then a vegan would still have it removed.

Have you EVER talked to ANYBODY who really went for a recreational abortion? This is a myth and repeating this myth under a post that uses a hyperbole to make a joke / bring a point across is plain stupid. That's why the person you answered to got rightfully downvoted.
I agree with you too, that's why I said someone actually doing that would likely be a shitty person. This lady is very likely not having "recreational abortions". They do deserve credit for at least recognizing a woman has a right to make that choice .

Where is it implied that she does it recreationally? She may have done it multiple times but never for fun.
It could also be argued that she means "miscarriages" if her body is sending the souls of unborn children back to God.
I think it's more likely miscarriages than abortions. I don't see why she'd be upset about accidentally getting pregnant. At some point you'd have to blame yourself if really happened that. Or you're being abused a ton and need to get out that situation.
