I thought this way for years. Turns out men actually want to be men, and I am much happier being a girl!

As seen on reddit (no surprise). Alpha Male instructor tells his "new alphas" to behave in the real world after graduating his bootcamp .

If you are well enough read or even if you just listen to a lot of Behind the Bastards, you ought to be able to see the emulation of Nazi fitness club culture, Nazi patriarchy culture, and Christian patriarchy culture. This is intentional on their part and I don't think they'd even argue much about the origins of their practices.

Sometimes I get down because I think about how much better life would be for everyone if the cultural influence of the United States Slavery Cult or "The Confederacy" or whatever you want to call them had actually been destroyed. The same goes for the Nazis: the American colonizers literally rescued, imported, and integrated Nazis into their science and statecraft. I think we could have had an actual future if the Silent and Boomer era adults had actually stopped the Nazis. Bums me out.

Anyway once you start recognizing the tells and cultural signifies that American colonists use to signal affiliation with the patriarchies, you really can't unsee it. It's everywhere and the cultural seepage from these shitty movements end up adopted into (primarily white colonizer) culture. "Looks Maxxing" "Chad" etc.

(thought about including an 'inb4 sOuRcE??' but i'm pretty handy with sources so maybe just keep those requests to one reply thread)

The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.

Award Winning Documentary on the Life of Artist Robert Shields. “Robert Shields: My Life as a Robot” is a documentary that will make you believe that your actions can have an inspirational effect on so many lives - and you may not even be aware of it. An icon of the 70’s, Robert began his career doing his robot in front of the Hollywood Wax Museum and a few short years later had his own top rated Prime Time CBS Variety show with his beautiful wife Lorene called: “The Shields & Yarnell Show”. And along the way, unbeknownst to him, he created ripples that define an art form to this day. This film may not save the environment, it won’t take on a corrupt corporation nor will it make you write your congress person. What it will do is make you laugh, bring you wonder and joy and introduce you to a man who makes you believe that anything is possible… including (and don’t try this at home!) Street Skiing in downtown San Francisco!

Community Guidelines

Blåhaj Lemmy is a space where everyone should feel able to participate safely, and to that end, our community is built on the guiding philosophies of empathy, inclusion and acceptance.

Empathy

We want our community members to be guided by compassion and empathy for others.

Examples of behaviour that are contrary to this philosophy are personal attacks, insults, doxing etc. If your comment is designed to hurt someone, this isn't the space for it.

Inclusion and Acceptance

Embracing inclusion and acceptance means listening when people tell you who they are and what their needs are. It means not telling people that you know their experiences better than they do. It means not gatekeeping experiences of identities of others. It means no bigotry such as racism, sexism, anti LGBT commentary, ableism etc. It means doing your best to ensure that you don't over-talk the voices of folk who don't share your privileges.

Supporting Blåhaj Lemmy

After much hesitation, we have a Ko Fi to enable people to help with supporting some of the running costs associated with our instances.

Providing a safe space for our community is the goal, so please only consider donating if you are in a position to do so without any financial stress.
