only places that care about banning transphobes are here, hexbear, and lemmygrad really. i mod c/traa on hexbear and how we deal with this is by having 26 fairly active trans mods. we spread the workload out on banning people, we usually have a response to ban within 5-30 minutes, sometimes its instantaneous. we care a lot about making sure as few people as possible see abusive material and to make sure even the mods have not many interactions by spreading the burden of dealing with transphobia out a ton.

i add pretty much anyone that is a trans socialist to the mod team if they ask. i dont like the idea of having a clique, it should be easy to join, i do semi regular asks if anyone wants to join

also, on top of our 26 mods, we have 15 admins that help with bans, a bit over half of whom are trans. which is about proportionate to the userbase

hmmm... it was so long ago that i thought like that. i think i felt like i was too masculine to pass, and asked myself what the point of transitioning was if i didnt. this obviously was very untrue. i feel after being transitioned for 10+ years now, most binary trans people pass as cis after a long bout of hrt. of course passing is not the end all be all, though it does make life a bit easier in more transphobic areas.

i also had some bizarre ideas about how i needed to change my personality to be more feminine in order to be truly trans. also very silly, im just me but now everyone sees me as a woman, i didnt need to change anything about how i acted

You can find further details on how the survey was conducted here (yes I was drunk the whole time). 158 people responded yes or maybe. Noticed the survey here recently and wanted to share.

seconding as a trans person. everyone i know supports palestine to the hilt. you cannot change the situation on the ground for lgbt people in yemen or palestine with war and bombs.

This is transphobic, almost all the people in that thread that are responding are trans, and as you can see by this thread and the other thread, the trans people on this site agree with the ones on hexbear on this issue

Trans people have a right to call out transphobia

Also I’m a "actual trans people with sense"™, so my opinion can’t be discarded.

If you want to read the arguments a bunch of trans people from hexbear wrote, you can see them here. https://hexbear.net/post/1527796

Cromalin broke it down pretty extensively.

I don't play games much, but I've been told by other transfems that cyberpunk2077 is really affirming gender wise due to how immersive the first person camera is

And yeah the rights to making games for the Harry Potter universe is valued at 3.8 billion right now I believe, so I wouldnt say its a little, its enough to influence British politics, but piracy fixes that on an individual level

[-] kristina 21 points 1 year ago

yeah piracy is right there if you really want to subject yourself to it

I know right? Its wild that this even came up again, but it got re-litigated because of the steam awards. Which is likely because gamers are transphobic and wanted to re-litigate it

Hey there, I'm a mod of c/traa and was recently called out for saying JK Rowling is transphobic and buying the Hogwarts game is a bad idea. I was told that the 'actual trans people with sense' are here and agree that playing the Hogwarts game is fine, and so is giving money to a transphobe billionaire. This ally of trans rights (and instance admin of a large server that isnt blahaj or hexbear) of course seems to vehemently disagree.

So, as a question, do you agree with giving money in any way to JK Rowling? Do you agree with supporting Harry Potter as a franchise? 🤓 I have a feeling I already know the answer to this, but I figure yall might find this whole thing amusing
