I boot on a custom EFI app to control my dualboot (instead of systemd-boot or grub) that asks a service on my proxmox server which OS I'm supposed to boot.

Overkill, but it allows me to control my dual-boot without a keyboard in my computer (because it's a Bluetooth keyboard so I can't really use it in grub anyway)

Okay but this could be the lore for a Dark Souls NPC

Achtually the french army doesn't use FAMAS anymore and they replaced them with german made HK416.

Not gonna argue about the rest though

I know right. If it did, you can be sure trans women would know about it.

Ooooooh so that's why my face changed when I changed my first name. I thought it was the hormones, but no, t'was the new name!

Depends on the people I guess. I have zero contact with my neighbors and don't know their names. I fucking hate that I can hear when my upstairs neighbor lets something fall on the floor, or vaccuums their floor though, but nothing I can do about that. So yeah, experience can vary

It seemed to have been a bet that the left would be completely divided so that he could place his party as the defender against the far right in order to get an absolute majority (he only had a relative majority until now)

That didn't work because the left parties managed to create a united front in less than a week.

But let's not forget the following: yes, the left parties have a relative majority (or at least should given the last estimations), but the far right did gain a lot of seats in the elections compared to last time. So yeah it could have been worse, but it's not exactly a comfortable situation either

French here, yeah it kinda is. Or at least it's rare but not exceptional I guess, at least for fluvial transport (barges and other similar types of ships)

It's usually not that bad, and at most requires some reinforcement of the bridge, or at least the removal of some parts of the ship that were embedded in the bridge example here in France.

There's also the possibility of selecting the last booted OS by default instead of a specific entry

Well, all airlines certified by Nepal (it's not the only country concerned by this, but it is concerned) are banned from flying in Europe for safety reasons.

It's not specified why, but reasons can be lack of oversight, lax regulations. All of that usually causes maintenance issues, lack of training, bad safety processes.

I also read the report, which states that the main factors for the crash are

  • lack of training (including crew resource management)
  • non compliance with standard operating procedure
  • challenging visual approach causing high workload

So basically the pilots were experimented (they were definitely not new pilots at all), but the approach was difficult, did not meet safety standards, documentation for it was not up to date, and pilots were not sufficiently trained, and did not respect standard procedure in the cockpit either.

That's a systemic error and it would have happened at one moment, regardless of the pilots.

(my source for the report https://www.tourism.gov.np/files/1/9N-ANC%20FINAL%20Report.pdf )

There's been driverless subway for decades though, if it's intracity travel (which seems the case here), then it makes sense.

Maglev doesn't, as many pointed out
