Follow international medical guidelines (i.e. WPATHv8) as a baseline, actually listen to trans people, and be willing to deviate based on patient need.

Have the trans community involved in governance in a non-tokenestic way, e.g. seats on the board.

Took me maybe a year to fully stop doing.

It varies in practice. Most people I see using identify, including many trans people, are well-intentioned and think it's the preferred polite language without thinking too hard on the implications of it.

However there are definitely anti-trans people who will use it pejoratively, which I presume is where that wording originated.

Nimona and there's a bit in The Legend of Korra.

For anime there's Wandering Son (trans), Yuri on Ice (gay, didn't see the hype myself), and I'm currently working through S1 of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury which my housemate and I refer to as Space Lesbians - though technically its more bi. I watch subs, so can't comment on dubs.

The anti-trans groups champion her book, so I think it's safe to say that she is not impartial.

My main mastodon uses one of the hosted services, which I'm totally fine with. Moderating a community is hard enough without adding extra sysadmin work on top, and I'm happy to donate towards the running costs whatever way the admins choose is best to run it.

Normal was probably around 8, queer questioning only started in my late 20s, and I only figured out I was trans a decade on again. Still haven't fully figured out my sexuality, but labels are tools rather than boxes.

A-spec = Ace/Asexuality spectrum

Cass said the same, so not too surprising. Not seeing that in the interim service specification though.

The rest of the specification is also concerning - Says that if you procure HRT or blockers from GenderGP that they'll basically detransition you and then consider whether you'll be allowed to continue per their rules which include a minimum of being age 16 for HRT. And report any doctor in the UK who prescribed to you.

They're still also talking a bit much about reporting to child services for helping your child access gender affirming care in line with international guidelines.
