So aside from the immense risk of starting a war with a nation right next door to you, ...aside from the fact that there would be no clear strategic objectives, it would also cost a fortune.
If the US wass really serious about supporting the Mexican government against the cartels, then they would start with increasing financial aid to said government. But these very same people would probably be against that idea.
I think it bears pointing out that both the UK and France have their own nuclear weapons and are ultimately not beholden to the US.
So encouraging Russian aggression with the implicit notion that the US wouldn't do anything in response to an attack actually makes nuclear war more likely because even if we didn't respond... they would still feel compelled to.

Ohio voter here. The job is not done. The next step is to vote these pricks out of office. And that means funding their opponents when the time comes for them to run for reelection.
The Republicans in charge in Ohio brought this on themselves when they passed their absurd 6 week abortion ban with no exceptions for rape and incest. The citizen-initiated constitutional amendment gathered steam as a direct result of that.
The lesson should be: when you pander to the extremists in your party, you actually accomplish the opposite of what you wanted.

It's Balance of Power, which came out in 1985. It was a geopolitical simulator where you either play as the USA or the USSR. The goal is to gain influence across the world by sending economic and military aid, fighting proxy wars, stuff like that. There was also a newer version that came out in I think 1990 which introduced some newer features and slightly better graphics.

It says he specifically went behind his own lawyers' backs to remove the classified documents from where they were stored and moved them to his personal residence after they had already been subpoenaed. ...and then basically lied to his own lawyers. The prosecution is going to make the case that this was obstruction of justice.
That's weird because as I recall it, what happened is that her administration proposed an economic plan which caused a brief economic crisis because I guess they thought they knew more than actual economists - sort of like 5 year olds that think they know more than their parents.
