The hinge gets you that smooth close action after slathering both sides

I am conflicted. Is this image unhinged or hinged?

I think there is a broken pipe in there

Great, now the meme's basement is flooded

Screws are going the wrong way, aren't they? You want the heads to be flush with the hinge and protrude into the material or else they'll just fall off.

[-] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 19 points 1 year ago

True. You have a good eye for construction accuracy. But I guess the photo wouldn't have been as visually effective & humorous if the hinge had been assembled correctly and we couldn't see the screws in the bread.

Finally, my marmalade sandwiches can have internal rhymes

[-] glizzyguzzler 3 points 1 year ago

That classic clang on the first bite, that’s the stuff🤤🤤

[-] Piemanding@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 year ago

So you turned it into a hotdog?

[-] glizzyguzzler 4 points 1 year ago

Where god failed, we overcome through technology😎😎😎

[-] Professorozone@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Regrettably, I'm gluten free, so neither... although the screws might help hold the gluten free bread together. So I'm going for WITH door hinge.

Im french and i have never eaten peanut butter in my life, thanks for the link

[-] glizzyguzzler 6 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Nut butters are egregiously dense in ~~calories~~JOULES, they’re ideal for getting ~~crunked~~bourré on ENERGY (I localized the sentence for French-speakers)

[-] BarrelAgedBoredom@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

If other nut butters are common in France they also work well! My favorite is cashew butter and blackberry jam

[-] seliaste 2 points 1 year ago

Actually I never ate any nut butter at all

[-] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 1 year ago

While debatable that it’s really nut butter (hazelnut), not even Nutella?

[-] seliaste 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Nutella is mostly chocolate with just a pinch of nuts afaik

[-] Obi@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 year ago

I was the same as you but married a Canadian and she converted me. It's delicious.

[-] seliaste 2 points 1 year ago

Might give it a try then!

[-] sxan@midwest.social 5 points 1 year ago

Without. Dr. says I have enough iron in my diet already.

[-] doingless@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Yeah I have a couple of people in my family with iron deficiency, the hinge is great for them!

[-] glizzyguzzler 1 points 1 year ago

Jsyk they’re making hinges in brass now, all the hinge without the Fe!

I do prefer oranges but I'll even eat hinges

[-] Commiunism@lemmy.wtf 2 points 1 year ago

[-] glizzyguzzler 1 points 1 year ago

Hinge to keep the beans in?

[-] Smorty 2 points 1 year ago

I somehow remember this image... hmm

[-] glizzyguzzler 2 points 1 year ago

Hinged Pbj is an integral part of many people’s childhoods, makes sense {I only shitpost reposts}

[-] indepndnt@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

how the hell else do you close your sandwich?!

[-] witty_username@feddit.nl 2 points 1 year ago

Only if you rip out the four-inch screws
And then I want some orange juice

[-] frezik@midwest.social 2 points 1 year ago

Depends, are the screws galvanized?

[-] glizzyguzzler 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

P sure the hinges and screws come in either galvanized or brass - your choice for the right that appeals to you with each bite

[-] cupcakezealot 2 points 1 year ago

why use pbj when fluffernutter exists

[-] glizzyguzzler 1 points 1 year ago

[-] cupcakezealot 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)
