So, I have like these two dimples on my lower back. They're not very prominent, but they are visible in the mirror (I swear I'm not admiring my own butt ๐Ÿ˜ญ).
After a bit of googling, I found an article on Wikipedia, and they seem to be called "dimples of Venus"?

Apparently, anyone can have them, but they're more common in women. Also, they're supposedly seen as a mark of beauty? That's honestly really affirming ๐Ÿ˜Š

I have to say tho, despite my lower back shape being absolute trash and not feminine in the slightest, these are kinda cute.

CW: NSFWI guess this is what my boyfriend sees when he takes me from behind ๐Ÿ˜‚
This is arrogant, but I kinda get him drooling over me now.

So...do any of you girls have them too? They might be hard to see, but I can feel them with my hand and also a flashlight makes them much easier to see. Let me know, I'm actually curious about this.

Its OK. You are allowed to check out your butt.

[-] AnxiousMiisha 5 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

True, butt...doesn't that make me like, weirder than I already am?
I have enough weirdness to go around. Take some from me, please ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Also, I have a bf. Checking me out is his job. He's totally slacking these past couple of days...

[-] DreadPirateSnuggles@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 weeks ago

You worked hard for it. Also it's kind to help your bf when they are falling behind. If you both check it out you can get caught up in no time.

[-] AnxiousMiisha 1 points 2 weeks ago

Lol, that cracked me up ๐Ÿคฃ

You worked hard for it

I really didn't though...
I barely even exercise. I used to, years ago, but now I just sit around...
Seeing my mother yesterday tho, I think that it might be partly genetics ๐Ÿ˜†. It should get even better with more time on E

I think Iโ€™ve always had them? Though I didnโ€™t really process them until more recently. I really like them. Iโ€™ve thought about getting dermal stud piercings in them. Something like this

[-] AnxiousMiisha 2 points 2 weeks ago

Omg that would be so cool/hot tho!

I'll have to ask my bf what he prefers ๐Ÿคญ

Reminds me a tiny bit of my piercings pre-HRT. I had both nipples pierced, but unfortunately had to remove them due to...well, growing breasts ๐Ÿ˜†

I had both nipples pierced, but unfortunately had to remove them due to...well, growing breasts ๐Ÿ˜†

Wait, seriously!?

[-] AnxiousMiisha 2 points 2 weeks ago

Yes. I got them as a gift from our bf for our anniversary, if you mean having the piercings.

If you mean having to remove them...it's definitely a bad idea to keep them on E. Your breasts are growing, the tissue is changing...it's not good to have a barbell through your nipples at that time ๐Ÿ˜†

I've heard that it's recommended to wait at least year or two years after starting HRT before getting them pierced again.

I will NOT be doing that, since the first time I almost fainted because of the pain and I literally cannot imagine going through that with nipples as sensitive as these...

[-] dotCody@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Well fuck. I cannot go thru that again. Ty for letting me know! ๐Ÿฅฒ

[-] AnxiousMiisha 2 points 2 weeks ago

I'm sorry. I really wish we'd get to keep them. They were impractical...but also really hot and affirming

But...boobs be growing ๐Ÿ˜‚

[-] quantumgenderino 6 points 2 weeks ago

My wife has always had them, i think she refers to them as venus dimples. I never did, but now that hrt is doing its thing, I've got some very faint ones. Only reason I noticed them is because I spend so much time looking at my own butt, which, I'm supremely thankful for, has always been asstounding, and it's only getting better! When I started wearing leggings, cis women all around me were getting mad ๐Ÿ˜†

[-] AnxiousMiisha 2 points 2 weeks ago

That's nice! I'm really happy for you, lol

It's good to be proud of your own butt ๐Ÿคฃ

Jealous of your legging-wearing tho. I couldn't, not until I'm post-op at least. Gives me so much dysphoria ๐Ÿ˜”

[-] quantumgenderino 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Learning to tuck was huge for being comfortable in leggings. I don't really wear loose bottoms unless it's a skirt anymore, so I'll usually tucked unless I have a long top on that covers my groin

[-] AnxiousMiisha 3 points 2 weeks ago

I'll be real honest...I don't tuck and I'm not really interested in learning.

I don't touch it unless I have to. I prefer not to even think about it. I know that doesn't make sense, since tucking is meant to minimize it, but I just really don't want to even acknowledge it...

[-] That_Bitch_Is_Cily 2 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

It's not difficult once you get used to the process and how it feels. I tuck pretty much every waking second as I have really bad bottom dysphoria. I learned from a wikihow lol and my tip is to wear two pairs of snug panties with a sturdy elastic waistband. I never use tape or a gaff and I am perfectly fine going out in leggings or booty shorts.

Quick addition: outside of the times when I use the bathroom and have to retuck, I can mostly forget that it's there. If I'm not tucked, I am hyperaware that it exists all the time.

[-] AnxiousMiisha 2 points 2 weeks ago

I should really learn...
I even have the tape for it

I'm a bit worried about using the bathroom, but I'll probably learn how to deal with that in the process. Thanks for the encouragement ๐Ÿ’œ

[-] quantumgenderino 3 points 2 weeks ago

That is perfectly fair. Thank god for skirts!

[-] AnxiousMiisha 2 points 2 weeks ago

Skirts ๐ŸคŒ

Skirts indeed! Preach ๐Ÿ™

[-] dotCody@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

I have em and I am very much pre transition.

[-] AnxiousMiisha 4 points 2 weeks ago

Neat! I think HRT, changing the fat distribution on your body, might make them more prominent for you? Maybe, I'm not really sure...

Also, I think nature knew what it was doing giving you Venus dimples lol

[-] ada 3 points 2 weeks ago

I have something similar on my stomach.

[-] AnxiousMiisha 3 points 2 weeks ago

On your stomach? ๐Ÿ‘€
I hadn't even considered that...

Can you elaborate?

[-] ada@piefed.blahaj.zone 8 points 2 weeks ago

These things (though it's an old picture)

CNjSeUHAEsIy8rt.jpg

[-] AnxiousMiisha 8 points 2 weeks ago

Huh. That's interesting. Pretty belly!

[-] AnxiousMiisha 6 points 2 weeks ago

I really mean that. Really nice and flat. Girl, I'm honestly jealous

[-] Crackhappy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah I have them. I also have a nice butt.

[-] AnxiousMiisha 2 points 2 weeks ago

Neat!

Shall we establish the Nice butt team together? ๐Ÿ˜†

I guess everyone would be a part. I think all butts are nice!

[-] Crackhappy@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

When I was young I had a completely flat butt.

[-] AnxiousMiisha 2 points 2 weeks ago

Well...flat butt still butt? All butts are beautiful? I don't know ๐Ÿ˜ญ

[-] Crackhappy@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Years of not being comfortable sitting down because it was skin and bones.

[-] AnxiousMiisha 2 points 2 weeks ago

Oh my god, same! And I used to starve myself pre-HRT, so it was even worse!

There is some fat there now tho :p
So I'm not sitting on bone at least ๐Ÿ˜‚
