You think that's bad, I've had these for 9 months

You think that's bad, I've had these for 9 months

At this point, couldn't you just use the data you already downloaded and use error correction to fill in the rest ?
I have no knowledge of that, but as the movies left in stasis total about 0.5% of the movies in my library I'm okay leaving it or finding a substitute. I also only use torrents, no idea about the Usenet atm
Isn't that more of an .NZB thing, with the way it uses RAID parity?
I have no knowledge about implementation... ^_^; so... Maybe ? I was more so refering to the nature of data being transmitted over the internet. Because it has to be somewhat error proof, if you are only missing a fraction of the data, i expected that there would be a way to complete the missing message ?
You're right but as far as I'm aware, that must be baked in beforehand with parity files/blocks.
I'm only aware of a few things that do this, .NZB files used in Usenet downloads being the main thing (and of course RAID arrays).
Bound to be more though, anyone?
My first thought too
I'm assuming you've checked and it's not any .txt or sample files that are missing? If so then you can uncheck them and it'll be 100% finished in your client. Whatever tracker would still consider you partial seeding or leaching though
The worst is when it’s one big archive and your can’t un archive it until it’s fully downloaded. Fuck off with your weird zip files, give me a normal mkv that I can start playing almost immediately.
I hadn't, but thanks for the tip! As it turns out, in all of them the movie file is 99.9%, and in all but one everything else is 100.
I don't have the cleanest indexers and haven't tried to join private tracker groups, maybe that'd help, but I figured private groups trade in high quality files. I chose quantity and my movies are 99% YIFY/whatever is repackaged as YIFY nowadays
Man, I had Daimajin frozen in the 40% range for months. I tried multiple torrents and nothing. I got both sequels just fine. It was part of my motivation for finally setting up SABnzbd
I've literally bought blurays or DVDs in the past just to rip them myself because I couldn't find a torrent that would finish.
Almost did it last week in fact when I had one stuck at 18% for a week and change, the day I found the bluray and put it in my shopping cart with a 9pm deadline was when it picked back up and finished. I was happy because the bluray was like $70USD before taxes and shipping.
