[-] papalonian@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

It's in my rough top 10.

[-] TheAlbatross 18 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Way too easy.

Star Trek: The Next Generation
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Star Trek: Voyager

[-] ollie@pawb.social 10 points 1 day ago

i think this guy must like star wars /j

[-] Grail@multiverse.soulism.net 9 points 1 day ago

Star Trek, The Owl House, Garfield

I want gay magic space communism, and I don't really care about the third thing so I picked something boring that wouldn't disrupt the balance between Star Trek and Owl House too much.

I want bisexual demons piloting socialist spaceships, and we might as well have a talking lasagna cat along for the ride.

[-] FluorideMind@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

Well now you have Captain Garfield and the crew of the uss lasagna 2

[-] kbal@fedia.io 14 points 1 day ago

Star Trek, The Mighty Boosh, Gilligan's Island

  1. Wheel of time for the powers and multiple bonded bodyguards

  2. Lotr cause wizards and hobbits etc

  3. Stardew valley because I just wanna be all powerful and become a farmer anyway

[-] Apeman42@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

X-Men (let's say Evolution because it has one of my favorite versions of Kurt) evolves into a mostly Star Trek future but with mutants, who are now the predominant form of humanity. When you die it's the reformed version of the afterlife from the end of The Good Place.

[-] gigastasio@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago

Tron, Rick and Morty, and The Smurfs

[-] bizarroland@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Quantum Leap, that time I got reincarnated as a slime, Dune

[-] andrewta@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Star Wars, Harry Potter, Stargate

[-] Grail@multiverse.soulism.net 2 points 1 day ago
[-] andrewta@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Not sure why you are asking that in response to my statement.?

What does Star Wars or Stargate have to do with Andrew Tate?

Btw my handle stands for either

Andrew total asshole

Or

Andrew teachers assistant

Depending on my mood. But again why are you asking this weird question in response to my movie list?

[-] Grail@multiverse.soulism.net 3 points 1 day ago

You like Harry Potter so I figured you're politically right wing, and then I saw your username and thought "that sounds like a famous right wing person I know of"

[-] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 2 points 12 hours ago

Why would liking Harry Potter make one right wing? Liking Harry Potter doesn't necessarily mean supporting Rowling's views. The books have progressive messages in them that appeal to people who value inclusivity, even if the writer is a hypocrite. Yeah, the books have some issues, like the proslavery stuff, but you can still be left wing and like the books despite those things

[-] Grail@multiverse.soulism.net 1 points 5 hours ago

The books have lots of issues. The racist names, the Jewish caricature goblins, the villification of asexuality, the slave heads in santa hats, the fatphobia, the misogyny, the problematic gay allegory... I don't blame kids for not picking up on that stuff, but any adult who still likes those books is a conservative.

[-] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 hours ago

There's so much more to the books than that. You can't assume someone's beliefs by what fiction they enjoy

[-] Grail@multiverse.soulism.net 1 points 4 hours ago

Harry Potter is like Stonetoss.

[-] andrewta@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago

So far you’ve been wrong on pretty much everything you’ve said

[-] WongKaKui@piefed.ca 5 points 1 day ago

Death Note

Breaking Bad

(Don't need a 3rd one)

I'll be Kira and Heisenberg at the same time...

Who needs bombs or ricin?

[-] WhoIzDisIz@lemmy.today 1 points 20 hours ago

What? No Dexter?!?

[-] davidgro@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Star Trek: Lower Decks

Xanth (cheating on this one because apparently it's been in production, but it's not released. Mainly I just wanted something where everyone has superpowers/magic, and not just a small minority.)

Mister Rogers' Neighborhood

[-] AstroLightz@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

All anime, but:

  • Frieren: The world itself
  • To your eternity: Fushi's powers
  • ODDTAXI: Animals replace all humans and human-like species

ODDTAXI spoiler, relevant to above point(ODDTAXI animals, but not just a mental condition)

I think it would be an interesting world for exploration and adventuring

[-] Lumidaub@feddit.org 2 points 1 day ago

My little pony friendship is magic

... Idk, can I donate my other two picks so someone else has more options?

[-] ButteryMonkey@piefed.social 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Wolfboy and the everything Factory, Adventure Time, and Star Trek TNG

Space communism with holodecks and sentient androids, mixed with a magic factory that shapes reality, mixed with wild adventures and beings. And all of these things exist in mostly happy emotional spaces.

Absolutely perfect existence, and if it isn't, just go adventuring with your crew to change it.

[-] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 4 points 1 day ago

There are dozens of series/franchises like the MCU, the Trek Federation, or the Shire of the Hobbit. Ones that already have an immersive folklore.

A Buffy/Charmed/Supernatural crossover world would be pretty easy to conceive, but unless you were a protagonist you'd probably be a victim to a hot Goth vampire.*

*Yes, I know that there are plenty of people here who dream of being slain by a hot Goth vampire.

[-] Iconoclast@feddit.uk 1 points 1 day ago

Stand By Me
The Kings of Summer
Mid90s

Anything before the internet.

[-] hansolo@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which grants access to the Tommy Westphall Universe. Star Trek, X-Files, MASH, Haarlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island - it's a zany, madcap world.

Xmen since I assume my ASMR in their universe would have been a mutation into something cool like laser eyes.

Pacific Rim so we can get some giant robots on the mix that don't require being 14 years old and angsty AF in order to pilot them.

[-] Vandals_handle@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Game of GNAR, Valley Uprising and Groundhog Day. Endless lines down untracked powder and up granite faces. Falls only a temporary problem, as is ski patrol and ranger danger.
