Oooh I can't wait to see my favorite characters written as bland, inconsistent blobs! I always hated those pesky writers including interesting, innovative stories and jokes. I'd rest easier knowing some corporate big wig got a bigger bonus check than a writing team got paid appropriately for their work. Plus, that nips the issue of residuals! All the profit can go right to the company and dodge those greedy greedy workers.

I don't think Hillary Clinton was the first woman to run for president, but I don't wanna invalidate your shower thought.

It's hard to comment on the flavors of national pride in nations other than the one I live in, but I think if you're an American patriot, you either 1) are proud of horrendous, immoral things, 2) are proud of a mythologized nation-state that stands for liberty and justice which never actually existed.

The bots and commercialization are in opposition to this goal. People add reddit to a search because they want to hear what real, normal people write about things. When you start to commercialize that, that ruins the whole point.

Anything beyond 45 minutes is a schlep and there better be something good for me losing an hour and a half or more of day in transit. Especially a car where I can't even read or relax.

I hear rural Korean vegetables are quite good. What is the locally grown produce and how is it?
