I'm not exactly sure, but something more akin to what we wish members of the Social Democratic Party would have done in the Reichstag in '33.
I think if this starts a new strategy where the DNC turns Congress into molasses with these kinds of marathon speeches, I'll be more inclined to say it is actually doing something. But let's say it's a one off, what did it accomplish?
Yes, but that's an incredibly low bar and I'm not sure that Booker's actions really, uh, do anything. It's literally all talk. He spoke about how people have been writing asking for the DNC to do something. I guess this was something by the most literal sense, but I'm not sure what it accomplishes.
Yeah, that part fucking sucks. But he's a Democrat, what do you expect?
There's been a lot of press about Cory Booker's grandstanding, but I'm not really sure what it actually accomplishes. Is it really the "good trouble" he said he wanted it to be?
Overall I tend to like Booker (though he's done some goofy things) and I dunno if grandstanding for a record amount of time actually is "good trouble" as he proclaims, and I know he's generally very involved with the Jewish community around Newark, but it's always a little odd when non-Jews do this kinda thing. I think it just feels a bit performative to be referential to a faith that isn't yours.
Wait until you hear about Christmas
If you haven't heard of M.A.S.H. may I also politely recommend the sleeper hit, Star Trek?
I'm not sure thats right. I think the 2A was written in order to enable the US to be able to organize militias to defend itself against foreign invasion as, at the time, the idea of the colonies supporting a standing army was impossible.
I see a lot of people starting gardens or looking to getting chickens to be as self sufficient as they can. Many are holding off on large purchases to save in case "something happens". People around me who were never interested in firearms and in fact were generally opposed to them are starting to arm themselves at a rapid pace.
Why the fuck would someone spend a grand on a vacuum that does all that extra stupid shit?
A vacuum just needs to suck.
I'm excited to steal this and play MSG3 again
