"We need to write a fake message about this scenario, what do we do?"

"I mean usually they would say something like "Your Cock is Tiny, KYS" or sommit."

"No no, we can't have that, the parents would be up in arms, how about "your willy is rubbish"?"

Fucking clownshoes, but book banning activists used a realistic bullying scene (out of context) in a book as an excuse to ban said book.

I saw that video. There's a part where they got a bunch of kids to say "I saw your willy!" In unisson. I'm currently too lazy to find it, but I hope it's not that hard to find

[-] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 days ago

What.

Is it satire or something?

[-] P4ulin_Kbana@lemmy.eco.br 3 points 1 day ago

My comment? No ¯_(ツ)_/¯

What's next, don't blink, don't breath? /s

[-] Emi@ani.social 18 points 2 days ago

What if someone asks for it?

[-] trk@aussie.zone 34 points 2 days ago

Still don't send it. Unless you're happy to potentially be sharing it indefinitely with the whole world.

[-] SkyeStarfall 13 points 2 days ago

My position on it is that it's just a nude. It's not a big deal. Everyone has a naked body

Like, yes, of course think through if you're comfortable with it, but personally I don't really get why it's considered to be so scandalous

[-] Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de 6 points 1 day ago

also like, people aren't putting their ID next to their dick, you can just say "well that's not me, it's fake, idk what else to tell you"

what're they gonna do, ask you to prove it's not your dick?

[-] RaivoKulli@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 day ago

Minimize potential damage and have nothing immediately identifiable in the pic. Then just gaslight gatekeep girlboss it if the pic spreads, call people stupid and crazy for thinking you'd be careless enough to send a dickpic.

[-] VinesNFluff@pawb.social 5 points 1 day ago

"Your willy is rubbish" sounds like an insult Caddicarus would use

[-] Fleur_@aussie.zone 9 points 2 days ago

Unironically does happen lmao

[-] Kyrgizion@lemmy.world 27 points 2 days ago

Like a baby's arm holding an apple.

[-] NoForwardslashS@sopuli.xyz 6 points 2 days ago

I wouldn't call that rubbish

[-] tetris11@lemmy.ml 11 points 2 days ago

Or like a C battery

[-] shadowedcross@sh.itjust.works 19 points 2 days ago

Honestly based. Don't understand why so many people do it.

Moderator Guidelines

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
