"Fuck you, got mine."

  • those guys
[-] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 15 points 2 weeks ago

Every "conservative" is a closet narcissist. The only difference is they now feel comfortable tearing the mask off and no longer hiding behind the presumption they possess empathy or want what's best for other people.

[-] dalekcaan@feddit.nl 2 points 2 weeks ago

Idk about every conservative. Take Trump for example.

There's nothing closeted about his narcissism.

[-] keyhoh@piefed.social 85 points 2 weeks ago

ICE is a bunch of cowards. If they were really removing violent and scary undocumented immigrants who break the law and don't pay taxes, you'd hear about more shootouts with ICE. Instead, it's farmers and young families who are working, or their kids. It's such a pity such these cowards got such a huge funding bump.

[-] Gowron_Howard@lemmy.world 19 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Fuck ICE. The people that sign up for that sham of an organization peaked in high school and are mad at the world because of their irrelevance. Nobody loves or cares for these people. They exist to inflict pain to fill a void where a personality, ambitions, and empathy should be. They have nothing to give or contribute to the world.

[-] Rozauhtuno 9 points 2 weeks ago

ICE is a bunch of cowards.

Like all fascists.

[-] burgerpocalyse@lemmy.world 44 points 2 weeks ago

people say he changed for the worse after his stroke, but it seems like he was always a bad politician and a teensy beensy bit of a freak who chased a black jogger with a shotgun.

so i feel its less that he turned bad and more like he got worse

[-] skisnow@lemmy.ca 39 points 2 weeks ago

You know someone's no longer talking in good faith when they use words like "inappropriate and outrageous" to describe the suggestion of abolishing a department that didn't exist 25 years ago. This is someone consciously and openly attempting to shift the Overton Window so that they don't keep getting called on to defend the indefensible.

[-] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

John "Trump Signs Are PA's State Flower" Fetterman not talking in good faith? Say it ain't so!

My favorite Fetterman moment was when he castigated Democrats for mentioning trump's felony convictions, saying we were supposed to be the party of "forgiveness and redemption". Imagine consciously throwing away a political advantage like your opponent's crimes - it's like refusing to blink when your opponent throws sand in your eyes.

[-] El_guapazo@lemmy.world 37 points 2 weeks ago

He's one of those candidates that run as Democrat then switch after being elected.

[-] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Never trust folk from York County.

Jesus, John -- quit being a senator and just go record podcasts in your truck for a living.

[-] Dorkyd68@lemmy.world 34 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Abolish fetterman, he's a lunatic and pathological liar. He only won his seat cause he ran a fake campaign as a Democrat then dramatically pulled a u turn on us.

Also he dresses like a slob, grow up fAtterman

[-] Okokimup@lemmy.world 22 points 2 weeks ago

I don't think he ran a fake campaign, I think he had a stroke and it changed his personality. We don't realize how much our brains create who we are.

[-] pineapplelover@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah his wife divorced him I think cause he changed so much

[-] Krauerking@lemy.lol 5 points 2 weeks ago

I mean he was already a nepo baby prick pretending to be blue collar. And he very clearly had issues with people of color and firearms.

But I think the stroke made him feel more emboldened to not have to listen to others or made him more over confident in his own mental fortitude. It sure makes it look like he never intended to actually help anyone, and I think he would have just hid it better pre-stroke.

[-] AnIntenseMoist@lemmy.world 21 points 2 weeks ago

I'm 100% with ya until the dressing part. I don't care how people dress as long as they get the job done (see Zelensky). Now, he is a fuckwad for running on one platform and flipping to the other, but that's unrelated to his dress code. I remember thinking he was a good one for not giving a shit about appearances and only about making people's lives better.

[-] VindictiveJudge@lemmy.world 14 points 2 weeks ago

Zelensky's outfit is very deliberate. Before the war he was clean shaven and wearing full suits like any other national leader. His beard is short, but groomed, and he typically wears fatigues or hoodies. In either outfit, his clothes are in excellent condition. It's a good balance between looking professional and showing his people that he's right there with them.

[-] NotBillMurray@lemmy.world 19 points 2 weeks ago

Also he was running against fucking Dr. Oz

Fetterman is what Blue No Matter Who brought us.

[-] Alaik@lemmy.zip 41 points 2 weeks ago

Pretty sure its his cognitive decline secondary to his stroke.

Your brain stops working and you become republican.

[-] aceshigh@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

It’s interesting that having a stroke decreases your empathy, and as a result you become r.

[-] tacosplease@lemmy.world 24 points 2 weeks ago

So we should have let the Republican win?

How the fuck are we still this stupid?

It's the same dumb ass "Democrats aren't doing enough for Palestine, so I'm not voting for them" bullshit even after we've seen time and time again how that works out.

Take a look around at your actual options. Those are the choices. Not some mythical candid in your head. They have to be on the actual fucking ballot and not just in your dreams.

Also, Fuck Fetterman. He's a selfish, backstabbing piece of shit. This isn't about defending him. It was still the least shitty choice. That's where we are.

[-] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

Yes. If a Democrat refuses to comply to basic demands show them they will not be allowed to win.

[-] tacosplease@lemmy.world 15 points 2 weeks ago

That's literally what primaries are for.

[-] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Except he either has brain damage or lied in the primary.

[-] Nalivai@discuss.tchncs.de 9 points 2 weeks ago

He run against a person that calls itself doctor Oz. Do you think that ghoul would be better in any way whatsoever?

[-] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Fetterman votes with every Republican bill. What would be the difference except showing Democrats that these candidates are not deserving of winning?

[-] Krauerking@lemy.lol 7 points 2 weeks ago

He's unfortunately not. Just a liar and a prick in a time where we are easily fooled because of our few good options.

Gisele should primary him.

[-] MsPenguinette@lemmy.world 17 points 2 weeks ago

Wish there was a 25th amendment for senators. This dude’s brain is melting out his ears

[-] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 19 points 2 weeks ago

Nah, I think the whole progressive thing was his wife’s influence.

I’ve met too many assholes from York county who are just like him.

[-] apfelwoiSchoppen@lemmy.world 23 points 2 weeks ago

Seriously fuck John Fetterman. What a bag of turds.

Alex Jones just had a caller that was asking how to get his undocumented wife on the list of the “good ones.”

[-] brown567@sh.itjust.works 19 points 2 weeks ago

He forgor 💀

[-] asteriskeverything@lemmy.world 16 points 2 weeks ago

Omg I would hate to be inappropriate and outrageous!!!

[-] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 weeks ago

Nah, then he'll watch. 🤢

[-] 6stringringer@lemmy.zip 10 points 2 weeks ago

One more stroke & he’s back as a progressive.

[-] DeathByBigSad@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 weeks ago

Monkey Paw:

He becomes so progressive, he's now support giving voting rights to AI.

Yes, each instance of Siri, each instance of Gemini, all get a vote.

And now Tim Apple becomes POTUS. (Because the US has the biggest iPhone Marketshare)

I thought if you married someone they get a green card?

[-] ouRKaoS@lemmy.today 17 points 2 weeks ago

At this point, I don't think having a green card matters anymore.

[-] SolOrion@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 weeks ago

That's one path to it, but it's not nearly that simple.

[-] beveradb@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 weeks ago

It takes years even if you're legal. If you've committed any kind of crime, including working or being here illegally without a visa, you'll get denied

Sometimes the process takes years. Sometimes decades.

[-] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Took my ex something like 5 years and it was a pain in the aaaasssss.

[-] potato_wallrus@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Yeah, but it's not his problem until it affects him or his family.

[-] jj4211@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

No need to abolish ICE, just return it to what it was in 2015 or so.

We don't need essentially a whole new authoritarian police with more funding than any other such agency ever and more than two branches of the military, with ability to grab anyone at all with impunity (no due process required if they claim to think the target is not a citizen) and seemingly working to be able to also remove citizenship formally from people.

[-] Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz 2 points 2 weeks ago

Why not return it to where it was in 2002? We dont need a gestapo.

For a moment I thought this was ProgrammingHumour and a funny response to calling someone's code undocumented.

Then I read the full post.
