It only works if you say the O wrong! Neither "woman" nor "women" are said like that.

Oh, and all the other stuff about implying any strong & healthy friendship must have some underlying homoeroticism bullshit.

I know a woman who uses the phrase “breast friends”.

In Germany, older ppl sometimes use the term "Busenfreunde"

[-] prole 10 points 3 weeks ago

Is that like "bosom buddies"?

Germans really got a word for everything

LOL, not exactly. It's just that you can combine as many nouns as you want. The fact that you can turn pretty much any verb into a noun (Substantivierung) doesn't help with complexity XD

EDIT: e.g. German doesn't have specific words for vehicle or plane, it's just "stuff that drives" (Fahrzeug) or "stuff that flies" (Flugzeug) it's rly fun and allows for a lot of nuance, but can be rly confusing at times (even to native speakers)

Or the fact that "Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz" is a perfectly valid noun LMAO

"stuff that flies" (Flugzeug)

I'm liking the similarity (and presumed etymological link) to the English 'flung'

Yeah I don’t know any German but I know combining words is basically the language which leads to some fun direct translations

This was my poor attempt at a joke

Woah mance.

People all over the world have close heterosexual relationships, often with a lot of physicality involved. These terms are entirely unnecessary... but I know why they were made, lol.
