I think it’s about time the press and protesters start showing up strapped. These people clearly don’t have any fear and are just power tripping on people for simply being there. Put the fear of God back into these pigs.

The people of sh.it.just.works and Lemmy.world both loved to try and act like I was out of line for calling for open carry the other night. Unfortunately California state law doesn’t allow for it. I think that it’s the only way to get them to back off with the Marines, the National Guard and with ICE though. If they’re not going to be afraid of us then they’re never going to change and the people saying “don’t give them a reason to escalate” will keep saying that up to the first battles at which point they’ll run and cower.

Fun fact, the real wave of gun restrictions started with the Black Panthers open carrying in California back in in the 60s.

That led to the Mulford Act:

The state law made by fucking Reagan and should thusly be ignored.

[-] mean_bean279@lemmy.world 14 points 7 months ago

Completely agree. We should have gotten rid of the law. It was born out of racism and restricts our rights in Cali.

Jury nullification, baby. Just make sure you're headed in front of your peers and not getting dumped into a concentration camp in El Salvador.

You're not wrong but you're on the wrong instance if your solution isn't just 'hold hands and vote for black trump with a d next to their name next election'.

Uncomfortable truth: violence has solved some of the largest issues across the history of humanity.

[-] untakenusername@sh.itjust.works 4 points 7 months ago

yeah its also created some of the biggest problems

all wars, all genocides ect, that's pretty bad stuff

[-] deranger@sh.itjust.works 9 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

Violence didn’t create war or genocide, those are a result of nationalism and racism, respectively. Violence is the means used to accomplish the goal, but the motivation is what does the creating.

To be clear I’m not pro-violence or something, but it is kinda funny to me when you hear “violence is the answer” and open a history book to see time and time again that violence is the answer for quite a few problems.

Congratulations no-voters. You brought Israel to America.

[-] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 21 points 7 months ago

You can't enable atrocities abroad without them coming home to roost. Congrats to all US voters of the last 250 years.

[-] reddit_sux@lemmy.world 16 points 7 months ago

It should be thank you to the non voters. They have merely removed the veneer of morality and democracy from the face of US.

Remember the snipers in college sent by Biden against students participating in Anti-Israel protests.

Reporter Ruben Salazar March 3, 1928 – August 29, 1970. Murdered by the LASD.

[-] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 22 points 7 months ago

During the march, Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy Thomas Wilson struck and immediately killed Salazar with a tear-gas projectile. No criminal charge was filed, but Salazar's family reached an out-of-court financial settlement with the county.

Hi all, I hope people hear this and the post is not hidden. This is an insecure system, and talking on here about things you want to or will do will be used by the regime.

Please take this as it is meant. I fully appreciate the anger and the pain you are all feeling, and you are totally right to fight, but you must fight smart.

DO NOT LET YOUR ANGER GET THE BEST OF YOU. If this goes the way it's looking like it might, direct fights with whatfever is left of the States' forces is suicide, and the good guys need all the boots on the ground you can muster.

There are many veterans of the war on terror who are literal experts on the tactics needed to win this; seek them out.

Assume all coms are monitored because they are. Look after each other, people.

A friend who knows the score.

Sounds Israel and Russia. Trump has been studying hard and taking out the journos is the first step.

[-] bassomitron@lemmy.world 28 points 7 months ago

Trump hasn't studied shit. His enablers and handlers have, though.
