Hahaha I told people this would happen.

They should invite Boeing to collaborate on them, and OceanGate for their subs

[-] LogicalDrivel@sopuli.xyz 10 points 13 hours ago

Well, the resistance had better start stocking up on super soakers and water balloons.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

It's not an accident that Muskntrump are slashing federal spending but Trump threatened a government shutdown to get the debt ceiling increased.

It's all sleight of hand. The budget cuts are intended solely to cripple departments and programs that benefit common people or inconvenience the wealthy and empowered few, and all of the money that's not spent on those programs and agencies (and more) is going be funneled directly into the pockets of the wealthy and empowered few.

NO money is actually going to be saved. It's just going to be redirected, to even more directly benefit the wealthy few.

Well but um but well that just means that he's smart because hes gaming the system

He just tells it like it is

He's a businessman

And you can be 100% certain that that blatantly wasteful spending is not going to be cut.

Meanwhile, paying people to oversee pollution levels and ensure that industries don't make it so that people aren't poisoned by the air they breathe - that's going to called wasteful spending and is going to be cut.

All so that a handful of billionaires can enjoy even more privilege.

I just realized how insane this while thing is.

The worlds richest man has installed himself as America's fraud watchdog. Finds zero so far, simultaneously winning .4 billion contract for his carbon credit company that makes cars.

I hope they lock when they spontaneously catch fire.

[-] Madrigal@lemmy.world 3 points 13 hours ago

And the log files show the system switched to manual control precisely 3ms before the explosion, every time.

[-] cabron_offsets@lemmy.world 20 points 17 hours ago

He's defunding efforts to install EV chargers, but wants to outfit the state department in EVs?

[-] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 14 points 18 hours ago

Well that money wasn't for only Tesla charging stations. That's your problem.

[-] Nollij@sopuli.xyz 6 points 17 hours ago

While I agree with the whole corruption thing, chargers are also pretty important for swastikars. IANAL, but I believe that the release of NACS meant that NACS-only chargers would qualify for funding, even when no one else has it natively yet.

I'm sure part of it was just to kill everything Biden did, and that might be the whole reason. It's possible they push a new credit that will heavily favor Elno's businesses.

[-] genevieve 1 points 10 hours ago

One dumb thing Biden did.

Should’ve forced the CCS chargers just to give Musk the finger.

[-] queermunist@lemmy.ml 1 points 13 hours ago

It's not important as long as the government gives Musk more money. Why should he care if these Teslas are lawn ornaments?

[-] Zier@fedia.io 11 points 16 hours ago

The US Government will be one Car Wash away from being immobile.

[-] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 6 points 16 hours ago

Also, one tiny rough 10 degree incline from being completely immobile.

[-] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 15 hours ago

Our adversaries are loading up on baseballs.

[-] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago

And probably digging impossible to cross two foot deep moat.

[-] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 1 points 12 hours ago

Dubya spent way more than that on his RV fleet.
