It's a thirst trap for losers.

I'll reword it to trigger the correct part of your brain:

You're being advertised to.

[-] NihilsineNefas@slrpnk.net 10 points 2 months ago

Advertised what exactly? (Genuinely not a clue who this lass is, but I know how armchair psychologists love to forget that you can't effectively psychoanalyse people from what they put out as a public persona)

[-] dandelion 8 points 2 months ago

hmm, I was trying to make sense of this too, and I wonder if they are trying to say it's a kind of guerilla advertising for an OnlyFans they run? (assuming they have an OF)

[-] NihilsineNefas@slrpnk.net 7 points 2 months ago

Yeah that's what was throwing me off, felt a lot like a bad faith kind of "She's just being a pick me" dig that I've heard time and time again about anyone that's slightly alt or quirky.

(The irony of me taking their statement in bad faith isn't lost but its hard to take someone making harsh assumptions about a youtuber in good faith)

I've watched her ever since the one where she got her yaoi stolen by her parents. I'm pretty certain that she doesn't have an Onlyfans. She's not advertising anything. Whether she's as freaky as the videos suggest, I'm less convinced. I think it's either a character, or she's playing it up by a significant amount. I don't think that she actually believes her neighbor's dog is a government spy.

Yes, this.

I was partially memeing but it's undieniable that many people prey on and exploit lonely people.

I have blocked hundreds of spam accounts that are just OF ads.

When feeling compelled, drawn to, or attracted to a person, especially on the internet, it's important to stop and think why you feel this way and what the context is. Is it just a random person that's attractive? Is it a content creator that just happens to be attractive? Or is it a content creator deliberately leveraging attraction as a lure to get you to engage? It's not always simple to figure out but i think it's important to be aware.

This is marketing and as we all know: sex sells.

Edit: I didn't realize when i commented originally that this was in Femcel Memes which isn't really the place for this discussion and it also isn't my place to offer my thoughts so i don't think i will continue this here.

hey, thanks for the explanation and also your sensitivity and self-awareness 🫶

In this case, she's not advertising any kind of porn involving herself. Haven't even heard her say the word Onlyfans. An advertisement for Big Yaoi (and Yuri, can't forget the Yuri, equally important), well, that's more believable.

Welcome to femcel memes. A place where anybody can post memes that fit the vibe.

Warning: We have a tendency to post things that may at times come from a self-deprecating perspective or things that are funny coming from another queer person. This space will always be a safe place for transfems, non-binary people, people with a feminine gender expression (GNC or otherwise) or anybody else in the LGBT Community to come together and share about our experiences but we truly feel that laughing about the sometimes silly and embarrassing parts the queer experience can help bring us together. We never mean offense or harm in anything posted but rather they are satirical takes coming from queer people.

A note about 'Egging': Our community is mostly made up of transfem individuals, and as such most memes posted will be posted with the intention of having a transfem perspective. However, regardless of gender identity, all feminine presenting individuals are welcome here. Whether that means you're NB, GNC, transmasc, or any other identity, you are welcome here. It is not our intention or goal to invalidate these identities. If something makes you uncomfortable, please feel free to report the post and I will address your concerns on an individual level. For more information regarding the problems with 'Egg-culture', please see Here.

Love Y'all and thank you for following this community
