Hey y’all,

I’m currently looking for a few more moderators to help keep this space running smoothly.

I started this community as a space for trans folks to talk about firearms, community defense, safety, gear, training, and self-empowerment — without having to wade through the usual toxic nonsense found elsewhere, as well as to (hopefully) give the users of r/transguns a space to go to, in case anything happened to the subreddit.

It’s been awesome to see people join, but I’m also modding a ton of other communities across Lemmy, as well as dealing with stress, and declining mental health, and it’s starting to pile up.

If you care about building a knowledgeable, inclusive, and principled space for trans gun owners and allies, I’d love to have your help.

No modding experience needed — just a solid sense of community and a willingness to check in when you can.

Drop a comment, if you’re interested.

In solidarity and safety, – Teknevra

Typical for me...

ordered a blank with custom engraving.

I have a friend who has a mill and jigs.

During the machining, the alignment jig slipped a couple thou and the trigger group will not install.

Now it's just an aluminum paperweight.

In light of recent events, such as our government going rapidly towards an autocracy, I have made the decision that I am going to save up and purchase a handgun a few days after my 21st birthday, which is in a few months. I have never shot a gun in my life, but I have always respected the second amendment. I also want to practice proper gun safety, of course.

As stated my budget would be around $400 USD, but can extend to an additional $100. I would prefer to start off with a caliber that has less recoil (such as 22LR all the way to maybe a 9mm, I am 6'4 and 230 lbs if that matters) because I don't want to be unable to shoot it properly. Thank you in advance!

How am i supposed to carry while trying to wear slutty little outfits??🥲

i feel like everyone will immediately be like, "yep she definitely has a gun" no matter how i carry...

i'm mtf and pretty much always just keep my pistol (taurus gx2) in my purse, but with the loaded magazines next to it. i also love wearing crop tops and little shorts.

does anyone have any recommendations? possible even a holster with a trigger guard that could be inside my purse so i can keep loaded?

i would really prefer people not seeing i obviously am carrying.

thanks in advance!

Sorry if I missed the announcement, but I was informed this weekend by a shooting friend that the HR1 (Big Beautiful Bill) gave us "No More $200 Tax Stamps for Suppressors"

Busy now digging change out of my sofa cushions.

I’m so glad I stumbled across this Vz 52 a while back I think is just a beautiful rifle. (Got to love trying to find 7.62x45 though 🥲)

Anyone here fan of Henry Big Boy X Lever Action Rifle?

Does it need a scope?

Is it good for deer hunting?

How is a Lever Action Rifle different from a Lever Action Shotgun (for example one used in Terminator 2: Judgment Day by Arnie).

I mean I know the difference between a Rifle and a Shotgun but I see many brands making Lever Action Rifles but not Shotguns.

Cheers

Hunting vs Clay Shooting (self.trans_guns)
submitted 2 days ago by Teknevra to c/trans_guns

Does any transfemmes here have Hunting and/or Clay shooting as a hobby?

What game do you hunt?

What guns do you use for Hunting and/or Clay shooting?

Do your masculine friends frown upon you because hunting and clay shooting are traditionally viewed as male hobbies?

Cheers

Got me a grailgun! (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

The discontinued Silencerco Maxim 9 sporting a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro.

I like collecting guns for their novelties, rather than the complete set. I don't need four plastic fantastics from different manufacturers. This one is fun because it has an integrated suppressor, resulting in a yuge muzzle. Takes bog-standard Glock 17 magazines and has a dogshit trigger, but ai like it anyway.

A place for all to discuss defense, weapons, strategy, and related topics, especially in relation to the Igbt community and our allies

The best option for a defensive firearms is a 5.56x45mm AR-15, 12gauge Remington 870 shotgun, and a reputable 9x19mm handgun.

Defensive firearms should have a WML, long guns a sling, and handguns require a Kydex or solid plastic holster that fully covers the trigger.

A red dot or etched optic is ideal, but backup irons are important as well! Be sure to check out r/TheArmedGayAgenda
