Can't believe this poor reading comprehension is getting upvoted.
Absolutely. True creative games are made by smaller dev teams that aren't forcing ray tracing and lifelike graphics. The new Indianna Jones game isn't a GPU-selling card, and is the only game that I've personally had poor performance on with my 3070ti at 1440p.
LTT describes that the XBOX team have also trimmed down 2GB of W11 desktop bloat with this and have attempted to make the W11 experience more similar to a console. I'm curious to follow this. I'd imagine Microsoft are a bit intimidated by the fact that SteamOS is a better handheld gaming OS than Windows. Obviously this must have been in the pipeline for a long time now.
Certainly, this is what he is going to do.
Looking forward to putting this on my Isthereanydeal waitlist for the 75% off barrier. Genuinely one of the top games of my teen years when it came out, but $50 USD is a bit much for such an old game.
Maybe it's cause I'm a dad now but this really resonates with me.
He has to be aware how niche his passion is, but he does it anyway in defiance.
Financially, I'm not sure if you could say that starfield or fallout 4 was a failure.. Look at steamcharts player counts as an indication. All time peak concurrent players:
Skyrim: 90,000
Skyrim SE: 79,000
Fallout 4: 470,000
Fallout 76: 72,000
Starfield: 330,000
Sure skyrim has sold on many platforms and over time likely has sold the best, but you can't say that starfield and fallout 4 were commercial failures. Starfield being on game pass day 1 means the real concurrent numbers would be enormous.
I've not played starfield and agree it looks like shit, but TES VI is likely going to sell gangbusters to mainstream audiences given how much Skyrim broke into the mainstream.
I agree with you that Bethesda isn't what they used to be with TES Morrowind - Skyrim era and desperately need to get rid of that engine. But for the metric that truly matters, sales, I don't know what it would take for TES VI to fail.
All post-COVID tech companies in a nutshell.
AI seems to be getting used as the latest way to keep VCs still interested in a world of higher interest rates and otherwise tighter corporate spending.
Isn't it Potential of Hydrogen?
I remember ps3 emulation a few years ago was determined too hardware intensive, nowadays it can be done on mid level hardware. PS4 and Xbox One is going to happen, just depends on when.
Apparently Linux phones are missing a lot of features still? I would need maps, MFA app, banking apps, and (preferably) a Google wallet type function to make the switch.
