Jokes on them, they already nuked loan forgiveness. It's like when they tried to threaten my shop with withholding (duly authorized) funds because my shop had DEI.
The head of my shop replied "You already canceled everything for the future and are currently violating the law by withholding past due funds as it is, so this means nothing. Go sit on it" and drastically ramped up our DEI dept.

IMO, it's going to have to get much worse before it snaps, and when it snaps and there's an Arab Spring moment, it's going to be too late to recover any of it.

I believe this states the take many have - much like nobody batted an eye about auto-contrast, content-aware fill, or line smoothing. They weren't trying to replace humans with programs, weren't causing huge environmental impact, and weren't trained on stolen content. It's the ham-handed implementation that most are opposed to, combined with the obnoxious techbro mentality.
TBF, Target largely brought this on themselves before the DEI stuff. They're more expensive here than a proper dept store, and everything is locked in plastic and takes forever to get.
