Find a hobby you're interested in if you don't have one already. Find a group in your area that meets up to discuss or engage in that hobby in person. Make friends with the people in that group by just existing around them and talking about your shared interest. Maybe one of those friendships turns into a relationship, maybe not.

Don't think of the people there as potential partners but as people you like spending time with and genuinely enjoy being around. If one of those friendships has mutual attraction and becomes a partnership, that's great! If not, you'll probably meet other people through them and maybe one of those will turn into a relationship.

Examples of hobbies for introverts that provide more structure for interaction and can have limited talking if needed:

  • Boardgames / dueling card games like Netrunner / tabletop roleplaying games
  • Pinball
  • Video games fighting games or speed running communities are more widespread for in person events
  • Book clubs
  • Hiking, rolling skating, skateboarding, tennis, pickleball, basketball, soccer, bicycling, running, or swimming if you want to get some exercise

I'd add on that most on the left have also studied enough to know that people love martyrs and that very few deaths of public figures would substantially change our society.

I'd describe myself as a raging leftist, and I can count on one hand the people whose assassination I think would result in beneficial change for our society even with any blowback of support and counter assassinations. MTG has never been close to that level.

Dismantling systems of oppression and changing the way people think is far more effective.

The bottom image is Grant Imahara. He was a great engineer and well known for his work on several major movie franchises, mythbusters, and BattleBots. He died relatively young and tragically from a brain aneurysm.

Pretty sure that suffering is consensual, so it's fine. It's like how vegans can drink human breast milk or eat people who want to be cannibalized.

There are a lot of different types of poly relationship structures and different names for them. The base unit of relationship is a standard couple where 2 people are together. Add another person in and they can either be in a relationship with only one of those people and form a "hinge" aka "V" or be in a relationship with both of those people and form a "triad" aka "throuple". As many people as those involved consent to can be added this way.

Most of the time it's one person who is in a relationship with multiple people who are each in relationships with multiple people. This forms a "polycule". Where you have the people you're in relationships with aka your "paramours" and they have the people they're in relationships with aka your "metamours". This group of relationships can take many forms and can be drawn out into a cool diagram like a molecule, hence the name polycule.

The people you're in a relationship with can break up with you like in any other relationship and vice versa. It's more complicated when you add in housing situations if you're all living together, multiple people are all dating each other, or if two people are married.

Using one of my breakups as an example:
I've been in a triad where one person broke up with the other. I was then put in the middle of their breakup drama. I set a boundary of not wanting to deal with their drama/shit talking of the other. One of them kept breaking that boundary, so I broke up with that person while still being in a relationship with the other. Luckily I was living with the person I stayed with or that would've been way more complicated.

It's more a legally gray area in the US that as far as I can find from a quick search has never been settled in court. It likely isn't worth the time for police to go after either even if it was more explicitly illegal.

That might change if there's a sudden surge in people drawing on $100 bills, but who uses $100s that often anyway? Most ATMs I used only dispense $20s. It often isn't worth the trip to the bank, and the US is unfortunately mostly cashless now.

But to be clear: fuck this fascist bullshit and resist in whatever ways you can

I looked this up to find a source because I'd never heard it. From what I can find, it's one of a few unratified amendments, but this one was proposed in 1789. Sure would've been great if they'd have ratified something like this.

In the US, yes. It's pretty contentious and hasn't been used much.

Unsurprisingly a large number of them occured under Trump's administration.

Source for anyone interested. I was initially confused since New York got rid of the death penalty decades ago, but it's from a new federal charge I hadn't seen yet.

As far as I can find they haven't officially said they're pursuing the death penalty for this charge just that this charge is eligible for it. I see no other reason for it though.

"Too blessed to be depressed" - they're a Christian fundamentalist who is depressed but trying to convince themselves otherwise. You should run.

There's a lot of anti-furry sentiment here comparing it to beastiality and zoophilia which is nothing new, but it's too early in the morning for this.

To all those arguing this: You do not understand what being a furry is.

The furry community is firmly against fucking real animals as they obviously cannot consent. Any sex that happens in the community is among consenting adults. It isn't a "stepping stone" to fucking animals either. The community has worked hard to expel zoophiles (people actually fucking animals) and Nazis (different tangent but also interesting).

The sensory experience of fur (or scales or feathers) is nice, and wondering what having a tail or multiple appendages would be like is fun, but some people have a problem with it when adults want to enjoy that with other adults.

This video is the best explanation I've encountered on the topic and has way more information than what I can put in a comment. NSFW and there's a lot of sex jokes strung throughout.

TL; DW: There is a common experience of being dehumanized which the LGBT+ community experiences as well as those who are autistic which is one of many reasons both groups are drawn to the community. Animal comparisons are a good way of contextualizing how you would like to be interacted with. Furry is nothing new, and we have plenty of depictions of gods seducing people as animals because of the juxtaposition of power dynamics, divinity, humanity, masc, and fem.

It took me a little over a year of playing, ~1100 East games, ~400 South games, and several failed yakuman waits, but I finally got one!

Link to the game below if anyone is curious. I Yakuman in East 2 and end the game, so it's short.
