You're definitely right about that.

I've mostly just been reposting the information from the Subreddit (SR link in Community Bio).

If you want, you're more than welcome to join the Mod Team (it's just me), if you're interested.

Yeah, I just posted the information.

Thank you for your help.

To everyone hitting the streets in DC and across the country today for the Hands Off protests—YOU are the heartbeat of this damn movement.

Every step you take, every sign you hold, every chant you scream—it fucking matters. You’re not just resisting, you’re rewriting the rules. You’re showing this country exactly what happens when the people rise the hell up and demand more.

You are the voice. You are the pressure. You are the fucking fire.

Keep protesting. Keep shaking shit up.

Let’s be crystal fucking clear: As of May 2024, Tennessee officially made it law that if a trans or nonbinary student tells a teacher or counselor they want to be called by their real name, their real pronouns, or use the bathroom that matches who they are—that school is legally required to out them to their parents.

Immediately.

No questions.

No care if their home is violent.

No care if they’re kicked out.

No care if they end up on the fucking street.

This isn’t just hateful; it’s calculated.

It’s the same state that banned abortion even for survivors of rape or incest.

That refuses to protect victims, but bends over backwards to punish queer kids just for existing.

This is cruelty with intent. And we’re done being quiet about it.

We’re not asking nicely.

We’re not waiting. We are fucking mobilizing. Tennessee wants to come for our youth?

Fine. But they better know—we’re coming back with every organizer, every marcher, every goddamn ounce of rage and resistance we’ve got.

This isn’t up for debate.

This is our line in the sand.

You fucked with the wrong community, Tennessee.

We’re coming—not with fists, but with voices, marches, and a fuck-you that echoes for generations.

We’re not here to play nice.

We’re here because we’re done being erased, silenced, and sidelined.

Inclusion Day is not just a march — it’s a call to rise. If they’re uncomfortable with how loud we are, they should’ve thought twice before coming for our rights, our stories, our existence.

Show up.

Speak out.

Be impossible to ignore. April 30. Washington, D.C.

Let’s make history — on our fucking terms.

They just slashed over $180 million in LGBTQIA+ health research—because apparently queer lives don't fucking matter to them.

This isn’t “policy,” it’s state-sanctioned erasure disguised as budget cuts.

We’re not gonna be quiet while they gut our survival to score points with bigots.

Get fucking loud.

When the Trans Unity March happened last month, it was hardly reported on outside LGBTQNation and Washington Blade. Not that there's anything wrong with these publications, but what can be done to make sure the April 30th march has a wider impact?

I just found this subreddit today, but maybe some of the people in charge should consider reaching out to some outlets closer to the march date? I'm just spitballing, but I attached a few contacts for some news outlets that might give an upcoming movement the time of day.

Washington City Paper They are a local paper that have an LGBTQ news archive so they might be receptive. It would be good to get coverage from news other than LGBT magazines to reach general audiences ((though yes lgbt magazines are important too as you can see below.)) Here is their contact form for news tips.

Metro Weekly A local DC based LGBT magazine and nominee for a GLAAD media award. Their suggestions and feedback emails are webmaster@metroweekly.com and editor@metroweekly.com. They also have this phone number on their website (202-638-6830). Unfortunately I couldn't find a form or email for new tips specifically. Since they cover local topics in the D.C area they may feel especially inclined to cover the march at National Mall. For some reason it seems they didn't cover the Trans Unity March, so hopefully this will give them the figurative kick in the pants to cover this march.

The Advocate A magazines that recently won (and previously won) a GLAAD media award. Here is their news tips email: news@equalpride.com

Of course feel free to reach to larger and less LGBT focused publications (though ideally still with a good track record on covering LGBT issues) such as Variety at their news tip form. While expect rejection, I think it's worth it to try.

[Ending note: this contact info is only stuff readily available online since doxxing employees is obviously bad.]

Hey so I noticed y'all didn't have any printer friendly sizes for your April 30th event materials so I whipped up something last night. It's made for standard 8.5 by 11 size printer paper (with an added quarter inch of bleeds in case your printer screws up). DPI is 300 pixels (optimal) when printed at that size.

The PNG version is on my new deviantart for best image quality since it seems like reddit compresses it in posts.

You can find a PDF version here. Obviously free to use as flyers or posters.

If it ends up on the wearevivid.org website or main accounts though please credit me to the DA account in a caption or something.

Colors should hopefully be CMYK printer friendly though I'm not great with CMYK and don't have a test printer, so if lmk if the colors come out too different.

Edit: had to quickly delete and repost since reddit wasn't letting me make edits after posting for some reason. Then I realized there was a URL issue and another minor tweak I needed to do and again reddit was... reddit. Anyways this should be the last time sorry about that.

We've been doing weekly protests, every Sunday - next week will be our ninth week straight. 'Peaceful protests against fascism, basically.

We could be out there, seven days a week, with a different theme, every day - and still not have enough time to cover everything going on; locally and nationally. Globally.

but, 'stop project 2025; hands off trans rights!!; why are we trusting billionaires; no kings in America, this is the gist.

I KNEW they would pass this hateful, despicable garbage, but now that they actually have, I'm at a bit of a loss for words at the moment. This just passed in WV today.

I am making signs tonight to incorporate this into tomorrow's demonstration, and the 19th and 20th next weekend (i'd love to see people's artwork and signs, if you have any

Here a few of mine

I guess I'm just writing to say, wherever you are, I see you, and I love you, and if you can't be out there to protest that's OK, it's not safe for everybody and we recognize that. Especially those of us stuck in these very conservative red states.

I'm heartbroken, but I know you all are as well, but it gives us a beautiful strength as well. United in rage at injustice, but love and support for each other.

I just found this community, 🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ 💕 and I'm so glad to have found you.

Would you be interested in potentially becoming a mod here?

You would be more than welcome to incorporate your own mod style.

Plus, I DEFINITELY could use the help.

Would you happen to possibly know the name of the community?

We could always potentially add a link to the community in this one.
