Also even if something very specific that you want isn't available outside of Amazon, that's all the more reason to definitely not buy it and message the manufacturer/seller and let them know why you're not buying it. Boycotts will sometimes mean not buying something you really want to buy, that's working as designed.
You're complaining that Canadians seeing the US as an enemy nation is divide and conquer, but this screed against the rural peoples of your own country is just dandy???
The lower bound on what age a person has to be before being sexually attracted to them doesn't feel creepy goes up as you age, well past 18-20 by the time you're in your 30s. However, this lower bound does eventually slow or stop, and finding a 40 year old attractive by the time you're 60 doesn't feel nearly as weird.
So I'd imagine it's because basically anyone of any age can find a 40+ year old woman attractive without feeling like a creep, whereas most people start aging out of finding 18-20 year olds attractive by the time they're in their 30s.
Not really, you would just need a community that's focused on posting starter packs, and for people advertising Lemmy to others to direct people to that starter pack community when checking out Lemmy. There are things that could be developed to help make starter packs more useful, but it could start off as simply as just people making posts with lists of communities that people interested in crocheting or whatever should go check out.
Counterpoint: vegans that are bad or lazy cooks deserve to have a former omnivore partner that becomes vegan for them so they not only convert another person, but get better meals as a bonus reward.
This happened with me and my wife. I was the omnivore that loves cooking, became vegan because my wife was and I was serious about being with her long term and figured adopting her diet would make sense, then slowly realized it was just morally the correct position. Now she gets to enjoy having a wife that fills her freezer with homemade vegan pierogi 😇
Thankfully, that's not actually how criminal justice works in the US, and it would be really fucked up if it was illegal to say that a defendant is innocent of the charges.
A reminder that your original post was that you thought it was necessary to remove posts saying Luigi is innocent in order to follow the law. It's a good thing that's not actually true, because it would be incredibly dystopian if it was illegal to even say you think that a defendant is innocent.
Thank God, now I might actually be able to enjoy a Borderlands game.
Baby boomers and silent generation are both quite old, and so there is a third option; both sides losing boomers and silent generation to them dying of old age/natural causes.
Yeah, I said that without looking up the prices for a Rivian and remembered why I'm not actually considering getting one 😭. The world just still isn't ready for an all electric car manufacturer that is both affordable and not run by a manchild smdh
Same here, some friends of mine really got into car hacking with Teslas in particular and I was looking forward to sharing more hobbies with them. But at this point, I'd be embarrassed as hell to tell anyone I intentionally bought a Tesla, even a used one. And besides, if I really want the "sleek futuristic electric car by the dedicated electric car company", Rivian exists (unless their CEO is somehow worse than Elon 😬😩)
It's wild how "take seriously" just means "stop pretending that his ramblings are seventh dimensional chess". Sometimes, the emperor really is just wearing no clothes!
