Google doesn't just provide links, it scrubs content out of sites (with scripts before, now with LLMs) and presents it as Google's own content.
If they do that, they should be responsible if the content break laws.

Of the western countries that fought fascism, most were flirting with it before the war. Certainly the UK, US and France had their fascist sympathizers. Germany just went a little too fast and the frog jumped out of the boiling water.

From what I gather, asbestos is also very stable and not reactive. Asbestosis is caused by tiny fibers physically tearing your lungs.
It's unlikely that plastic is as dangerous (we'd seen it by now) but its buildup can likewise cause some condition.
