Hey. Moderator here. Your attack on their intelligence is a rule violation. Please either delete this comment, or update it so you're not insulting somebody. If you don't in 2 hours, I will be forced to delete your comment. If you continue down this path, you will receive a temporary ban.

[-] JonsJava@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago

Hey, mod here. I've removed 2 of your comments, because they were trolling. Please read the rules. The next time this happens, we will be giving you a temporary ban.

[-] JonsJava@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

I agree. While I've seen some crazy shit, it's not hard for the GOP to plant shit while committing felonies.

This is why I said I DON'T WANT TO SILENCE PEOPLE.

I try hard to work with people, if possible. We still have rules, so it's not "anything goes", nor will it ever be.

[-] JonsJava@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

That works. As you know, it can be a touchy subject, and wording can make all the difference. I don't want to remove content, as that feels like picking sides, but I have to keep things civil.

Hey, mod here. I get your views, but the way you expressed them might break a rule (rule 1). The way you wrote it can easily be taken that you think all Muslims are terrorists.

it’s crazy seeing so many who defend the Muslims right to be Islamist terrorists

I'd rather not silence your voice, so could you modify that so it doesn't read that way. The rest is completely fine.

Hey, mod here. Your comments can be taken as ignorant (not dumb/stupid), or trollish. If it's the former, let me educate you.

Churches have been used as polling stations for MANY years, and is a completely common occurrence.

If you knew this and were trolling, please stop.

  1. It was 5 months ago
  2. when a user is actively commenting and violating the community rules, we may ban, then remove content.
  3. When it is an active thread, we may accidentally put the wrong reason - yours was actually "multiple rule violations", but it appears I mixed you and someone else up when putting in the reason.
  4. You were being an ass
  5. YESTERDAY you reached out to us for help. I explained I don't like perma banning, and I was willing to work with you. I linked to your mod log, and invited you to appeal the ban. You decided to not appeal it, and called my moderation team ~~corrupt~~ fascist .

A woman named Laura McCaskill used an Apple AirTag to track down her stolen Harris/Walz campaign sign, which led her to a home in Nixa, Missouri. When confronted, the young man's mother admitted that the signs in the trunk of the car belonged to her son, who she described as "just an idiot."

The incident involved the theft of around 60 signs from various homes in the neighborhood. McCaskill and other residents plan to file police reports, and McCaskill expressed concern about the entitlement and lack of accountability shown by the young man and his mother. The document also discusses the legal implications of stealing campaign signs, referencing Missouri Statute 115.637 which classifies such actions as a misdemeanor offense.

Hello world!

as the title says the server is BACK! It is hosted under a new server! The same map and your inventory is the same!

Domain is the same: minecraft.lemmy.world

Bedrock: minecraft.lemmy.world:1027

Please note: The new server is hosted in the USA so if you are joining from the EU please expect higher than before ping! This can not be avoided as the generous hoster doesnt have a server in the EU.

The generous hoster is @JonsJava@lemmy.world, thanks to him all this is possible.

The home limits are increased and there will be for everyone who wants it a new spawn where you can build from.

Thanks everyone
Rooki

[META] MBFC bot (lemmy.world)
submitted 2 months ago by JonsJava@lemmy.world to c/news@lemmy.world

The news mod team has asked to no longer be a part of the project until we have a composite tool that polls multiple sources for a more balanced view.

It will take a few hours, but FOR NOW there won't be a bot giving reviews of the source.

The goal was simple: make it easier to show biased sources. This was to give you and the mods a better view of what we were looking at.

The mod team is in agreement: one source of truth isn't enough. We are working on a tool to give a composite score, from multiple sources, all open source.

New mod, new rules (lemmy.world)

Hey. I noticed that the only moderator for this community was banned a year ago, so I requested to take over.

I'm still working on the rules, the banner, and stuff, but one thing - going forward - I know will be a rule:

  • No drama you are a part of. If you're in the thread, don't post it here.

Also, as with all moderators, I'm always looking for people to help out. If you're interested, let me know!

Connect for Lemmy is my daily driver, but there aren't mod tools built in. For most of my moderation, it's either Alexandrite or REST calls.

Are there any native apps with good mod tools?

Started as a shower thought (literally in the shower), but decided to make it more open-ended.

My answer to this would be "watch future seasons of anime that I am waiting on".

I don't see how that could cause a huge ripple through time.
