Please change the post title to egg_irl or some variation of it per community rules (see sidebar).

I've just done so. Thanks for the heads up

What would X be in this situation? The way you hold a glass or take off your shirt?

Sometimes I think about the way I walk, it's like I'm going to see someone that needs to be beaten with a phone book.

Cishet guy here. I once tried putting my pants on differently by putting my left leg in first. I fell over and hit my shoulder on my dresser :(

[-] mossy_@lemmy.world 9 points 9 months ago

have you ever tried brushing your teeth with your other hand? it's a totally novel experience πŸ˜„

[-] BleatingZombie@lemmy.world 8 points 9 months ago

I think I would punch myself in the nose!

[-] TotallynotJessica@lemmy.world 2 points 8 months ago

You use your right leg first!? Are you a lefty?

It can be very small things. Personally, if games have a character creator, I can't play games as my assigned gender. Impossible. If I chose my assigned gender, I will rather not play the game at all.

... This is an egg thing?

o.o

As mossy_ writes: Some people just like looking at girls, but when it's compulsive for someone, it is one possible indication of being an egg.

[-] franklin@lemmy.world 6 points 9 months ago

It can be but I wouldn't read to much into it

[-] mossy_@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

Some people just like to look at cute girls. It's super common to see girl characters in Monster Hunter games for example, but I'd expect the playerbase to trend cis-male

[-] Tywele@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 9 months ago

Same. There are very few exceptions like the Witcher but generally I can't really play games where I have to play a male character.

In my (transfemme) case it was not tucking an then discovering tucking.

I was always under the impression that it doesn't matter because I'm wearing a skirt that i love and you don't see a bulge with it in any way. But I tried tucking and oh boy! It's not about the visuals but it just felt so much better. Just the feeling of being flat down there was heaven 🀀

[-] Smorty 7 points 9 months ago

Wow really? I never tried it but now I want to... Are there any good resources on learning how to do it? Asking for a friend

[-] Dwala_@feddit.de 2 points 9 months ago

I honestly just googled and found this guide to be pretty helpful. I'm not that good at it and don't have any stuff that is specifically designed to support tucking (e.g. a gaff) so it doesn't hold for very long but I think I might change that soon πŸ˜…

For me, it's the clothing I wear. Like when I worked out, I used to wear standard masc workout clothes. But once I discovered sporty fem fits that I look good in, I loathe whenever I have to wear my masc clothing. I like how I look with fem clothing so much more.
I also started growing my hair out and once I saw how I looked with it, I cannot go back to short hair anymore. The simple thought of going back to short hair makes me feel so dysphoric. Plus the compliments I get about my curls which certainly helps.

Oh no, very true.

!egg_irl

!egg_irl is for widely relatable memes about questioning one's gender or being an egg (a trans person in denial) as well as other eggy topics.

If you are looking for a place to discuss something specific to you or especially if you need help or are in crisis, we have communities and resources that can support you linked at the bottom of this sidebar.

General Rules:

  1. No bigotry.

  2. No spam, bots, or vote farming.

Rules on Content:

  1. No reposts.

  2. No personal-life posts, bingo cards, quizzes, selfies, "trans/not trans" lists, picrew, or non-memes.

  3. No visible names or usernames.

  4. Do not post or link to pornography.

Rules on Post Titles and Tags:

  1. Posts must be titled "egg_irl". An emoji or two is OK, but they have to be between "egg" and "irl".

  2. Posts that assume the viewer's gender and/or contain potentially triggering content must be spoilered and tagged at the beginning of the post title. Example content-warning tags that you can copy include the following:

    • [CW: Assumes Viewer is Transmasc]
    • [CW: Assumes Viewer is Transfem]
    • [CW: Assumes Viewer is Nonbinary]
    • [CW: Transphobia]
    • [CW: Violence]
    • [CW: Weapons/Firearms]
    • [CW: Disturbing Imagery]

    • [Nonbinary Meme]
    • [Gender-Nonspecific Meme]

Rules on Post Text:

  1. If possible, include an image description for accessibility.

  2. Add sources for art.

Rules on Comments

  1. If a post is tagged with a specific gender identity, keep the conversation centered on that identity.

  2. You must follow the Egg Prime Directive. You may not push or coerce people into identifying or not identifying a certain way. You must respect them as the gender they claim to identify as. In addition it is extremely in poor taste to make assumptions about other people's identities based on external factors, we understand it cannot be helped but it is best not to as it can affect the way you treat others in noticeable ways.

Recommendations:

We strongly encourage you to include your pronouns in your account bio so that others know how to refer to you without misgendering you. If you're questioning or unsure of your pronouns, that's totally coolβ€”just say so.
