It probably doesn't help but I'm a cis woman who doesn't have great hair (so I had to keep it short) and I got called sir ALL THE TIME into my mid 20s. Nothing seemed to help: wearing long pink sleeves under my work shirt. Even people who heard my extremely high-pitched voice would do it sometimes.

Hair seems to carry more weight than other visual cues. I have a son with long hair and a daughter with short hair, and people constantly address my son as a girl and my daughter as a boy. It doesn't matter how they are dressed or how we are addressing them.

I try to ignore physical features that people can't control. Things like skin color and glass eyes. But not words on their T-shirt or bumper stickers on their car. With wig technology what it is today, hair is a borderline case. So, of all of the gender-coded features, I feel like hair is not the most problematic. Maybe that's why people are like that?

It’s a straight razor. This is what people used before safety razors were invented. Still popular in barbershops and with folks that enjoy the challenge for an old school vibe.

Ahh but I was getting the impression there's a purple plastic covering on it (whenever I've seen straight razors it's just pure metal)? So initially I thought it was some kind of exfoliation tool or a type of razor I'd never seen before
