major?
“Western”
I mean, he included Japan and South Korea, among others that aren't strictly "Western." They are all US allies, though, which makes sense for a US Senator.
I mean, he included Japan and South Korea
When you hit a saturation point of US military bases, they just start calling you part of the Western bloc.
Brazil isn't there tho
Western doesn't mean on the western hemisphere
My first thought too. What lazy list, biased list.
Maybe compared to Liechtenstein and Vatican or something like that
Hey NZ is major now, don't take that away from us!
Maybe he explicitly selected countries which declare in their constitution that access to healthcare is a basic human right. Again, this is just an assumption by my side.
It's true, we are beyond pathetic.

🇺🇸 shit hole country 🇺🇸
Hehehe Greece a major country.
There are wait times and a tendency to turn healthcare private by making the public option not good enough. Enough countries are on their way to copy the US.
The big problem is that the prices are decoupled from the costs. The US healthcare system would be affordable if insurance companies couldn't negotiate for their own rates.
Public systems will always be the backbone of healthcare because spinning a profit is not a KPI.
That's exactly why public systems will be dismantled, to make the remaining options more profitable.
America's the fuccin' worst
And they just cut more funding 😑
America is not a major country.
It's the third most populous and fourth largest by area. First by far in nominal GDP etc.
Definitely a major country
America is a third world country, and people don't recognise it... and I think that that's pretty god damn sad, that they don't recognise their own country as a third world, third rate, third class slum.
>Finland
>Major country
Lol. Lmao even.
Too bad that isn’t gonna happen.
We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art, and very often in our art, the art of words.
-Ursula K Le Guin
It’s too late for that.
Nah. It’s only too late for anything when (general) you’re dead.
It really isn't.
People just need to do more extreme measures, not pointless shit like "blackouts" that makes you feel like you're doing something when really you're not
Action! Resistance! Activism!
penguins of antartica.
TIL: Indonesia, population 288 million, is not a major country. I wonder what makes a country major. Oh and also China?
You missed Taiwan.
Yeah... someone should do something about that.
I love you, Bernie, and you are one of the only ones I trust, but people are being murdered in the streets, it's 50 degrees in the shade, we're in a forever war with no goals, and all the water and electricity is being flushed down the toilet to make uncanny valley youtube homunculi explain how cryptocurrency works.
You can't build a tower while the foundation is a burning swamp.
You can work on several issues at the same time. Especially when the time to result is so long as in politics.
Work Reform
A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.
