Mina the Hollower, and it's not even on sale. And I still feel smart, looking over the shit on sale in my wishlist

[-] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

Cuboid Keeper was already on my wishlist and showed up as the cheapest game at 1.59 CAD. Notable because it currently has a 100% positive rating (though only 11 reviews). Released in 2019, too. I added the game to my wishlist because the same people (person? Website seems to suggest it's just one guy) made Eventide Matter, a short space resource gathering/building/upgrading game.

  • Nier Automata (yes I seriously haven't played this yet)
  • Silksong (yes... I know)
  • Doom dark ages
  • Ghost of Tsushima
  • Hades 2

More obscure games

  • Mewgenics
  • Cozy Grove
  • Find Matt's Cats (from the dev of Epic Battle Fantasy... If you haven't played them he's made more games since early flash days)
  • Manor Lords
  • Mount and Blade 2

I've been playing through the first Hollow Knight and don't know why I slept on it for so long (but am glad I did as I get to currently experience it).

I loved that game, I 100%'d it. Not sure about achievements though, those kinds of games usually have dumb achievements (looking at you Ori with the speed run and no hit achievements)

[-] kahjtheundedicated@lemmy.world 39 points 21 hours ago

I still miss the steam sale delivery girl

[-] Katana314@lemmy.world 24 points 20 hours ago

You can download a Steam Deck intro video where Game Mode boots up with her walking up to deliver a package.

[-] geekwithsoul@piefed.social 22 points 20 hours ago

I've already got it, but Dishonored is $1.99 USD, and definitely worth it for ten times that amount even after all these years.

And it's shit… agaaaaa-in 🎶

FR, 30 games on my list, only 6 hit their historical lows, and 2 of which I had already decided they're too high for me anyway.

24 either didn't go on sale or didn't hit their historical low.

I grabbed The Ninja Gaiden Master Collection (Fuck Sigma, I'm in it for NG3RE), Blue Revolver (Like, fine I suppose I'm running out of shmups, so I'll try and figure out what put me off about it the first time), Counterclocking (I'll support any new action game), and Carter's Quest (I'll support any new action game)

[-] thermal_shock@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

Why does it need to be historical low?

[-] Snowcano@startrek.website 12 points 19 hours ago

I think I’m gonna pick up Little Kitty Big City and I don’t care who judges me for it!

[-] littlebigendian@lemmy.zip 3 points 18 hours ago

It’s SUCH a good game! I loved it

[-] Snowcano@startrek.website 1 points 7 hours ago

That’s fantastic to hear! ❤️

[-] jtrek@startrek.website 39 points 1 day ago

It's hard for me to justify buying anything since my job is so crap. I have the money, I just feel spiteful and angry at capitalism.

[-] Eyck_of_denesle@lemmy.zip 3 points 15 hours ago

You atleast have a job :\

I was waiting for the sale to buy Elden Ring or DS3. Been wanting to replay them, this time with mods. But it seems they skipped this sale... of course they did.

[-] MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.world 4 points 16 hours ago

Spent 40$ on a bunch of older games and some more Niche Stuff I’ve been wanting. I also picked up Cave Story after a friend suggested it. I’ve been eyeing the RE4 Remake but I still need to beat 2. Overall went over my budget by 15$

[-] Hakuso@scribe.disroot.org 16 points 23 hours ago

Nothing, I moved to GOG, who is also having their Summer Sale.

[-] FatVegan@leminal.space 27 points 22 hours ago

They call it the SS over there.

[-] clucose@lemmy.ml 4 points 8 hours ago

One little mistake and everyone is calling you a Nazi…

[-] thermal_shock@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

It was a series of related bad mistakes. Not just one.

[-] iamthetot@piefed.ca 2 points 11 hours ago
[-] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 5 points 16 hours ago

No Dave the Diver on gog yet unfortunately

[-] fpslem@lemmy.world 4 points 20 hours ago

What have you scored over there? I picked up WallWorld, Oblivion, and Rôki.

[-] Hakuso@scribe.disroot.org 1 points 8 hours ago

Nothing, yet. I getg paid next week XD

Thankully it will still be running, could do with a few new games, though I'm aiming for things with native Linux ports mostly even if there are otehrs I would rather play just to support ditching Microslop and not relying on Valve to make everything work.

[-] PieMePlenty@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago

The Binding of Isaac + all DLC is like $5. Definitely jumping on that.

[-] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

Ah glad you mentioned that because I had the base game on my wishlist and saw it for under $2 and just added that.

But now, looking more closely, I'm a bit confused. I see the DLC bundles, but only one of the DLCs (other than the soundtrack) has a price, though the others are a mix of Free and N/A. Going into bundle details does show a price for the N/A ones but I'm just confused about what's going on there. Are the DLCs only available through the bundles and that's why they don't have their own prices unless you dig a bit?

Anyways, they are all 90% off.

Though with the way valve handles bundles, at least it isn't really an issue, whatever is going on. It's refreshing that they don't try to nickel and dime you and even warn you if you have a game in a cart when a bundle with that game is cheaper (because you already have the other games and it still gives you the bundle discount without needing to buy those games again).

5 euros for the entire Metro series (2033, Last Light, Exodus, plus the expansions) is insane.

[-] Eyck_of_denesle@lemmy.zip 2 points 15 hours ago

The first two games were already given away before multiple times for free. Not that surprising but good for anyone who missed those.

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 9 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago)

The only one I have my eye on (for now) is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and basically because it never gets discounted.

Could be fun to punch a few Nazis, even if only digitally.

[-] jinwk00@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 hours ago

Wolfenstein?

[-] Snowcano@startrek.website 11 points 19 hours ago

And not just punching, but full-on wind up and let it rip homerun swings with a shovel to the face (which goes CLANG!! and breaks the shovel) just never got old. Highly recommend!
