I've decided this is my personal head canon for the origin of Kerbal Space Program.

That right there, that's Jeb prime, Jeb 0, being blasted into the Kerbal dimension.

Are we sure on the scale of this picture? That could easily be a man in a clean room suit from a long way away.

[-] Batman@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

there is no scale in this picture, frogs don't have scales. however they do have a halfshell in their more rambunctious teenage years. on this half she'll you might use ffmpeg to scale the image to any size you want!

Oh, cuz NASA said it? They literally said that the fate of the frog is unknown, which likely means they didn't find it. Which means that they didn't confirm if it was a faraway scientist in a clean room suit wearing hand and foot flippers.

Both seem equally as likely.

Right. I thought it looked like a space suit.

So satellites are not vegan?

[-] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 38 points 2 days ago

Patrons are kindly requested to refrain from eating the satellites.

[-] fartographer@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

I'm not gonna not eat something that I've paid for. *muffled between bites* Otherwise, what's the point *swallows well-chewed aluminum foil* of paying for things?

Not the wrong way either.

"Nasa" rocket launch you mean. It was private dickhead billionaires back then as now. Nasa paid the bill for these billionaires' companies to both build the rockets and run the missions, getting the glory and sharing all the information with the government paying the bill and then some.

Well, they have a point:

Minotaur V was developed by Orbital Sciences Corporation (now absorbed into Northrop Grumman) and made its maiden, and to date only, flight on September 7, 2013, carrying the LADEE (Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer) spacecraft for NASA.

In my opinion, commissioned by NASA is also NASA rocket, though

[-] ptu@sopuli.xyz 2 points 2 days ago

Thanks, I focused on the cargo but that makes sense.
