If she knew what was required she wouldn't have lost to trump.

[-] LuigiMaoFrance@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 day ago

just die already

[-] arcine@jlai.lu 13 points 2 days ago

You know, as much as I think the people who didn't vote for her for that reason are morons ; they are very unlikely yo change their minds : unless she publicly and obviously decries the genocide in Palestine, they will make the same mistake again.

[-] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 1 points 11 hours ago

I don't think that's enough. That was a reason not to vote for her. She never gave us any compelling reasons to vote for her other than "I'm not trump". Considering she has the gravitas of a dead cod, she's going to need some really compelling policy plans to pull it off.

She's gonna do it dude..... Once again, they think they can't lose, so they'll aim as close as possible

"I know what it requires".

I refer you to Sun Tzu: One may know how to conquer but not be able to do so.

[-] FatVegan@leminal.space 2 points 1 day ago

Not being black and female. So good luck

[-] cenariodantesco@lemmy.world 33 points 2 days ago

I'm not American but gimme that AOC baby

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 days ago

America will not vote for:

  1. A woman

  2. Any ethnicity

  3. Anyone under 60

[-] Cherries@lemmy.world 24 points 2 days ago

Kamala Harris did not lose because of those qualities. She lost because she ran as a diet Republican, going for a marginal victory.

[-] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 12 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

There was also all of that fraud

Even still, Harris couldn't beat an empty chair

[-] Pyr_Pressure@lemmy.ca 11 points 2 days ago

Obama met 2/3 of those criteria

It's the woman part that America won't vote for

[-] hotshot@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 days ago

Absolutely its the woman part. It has nothing to do with her: -Being forced as the 2024 Democratic presidential candidate

  • stating there was no difference between her and Joe biden
  • getting crushed in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary. She couldn't even win her own state.
  • campaigning with Liz Cheyney
  • refusing to condemn genocide
  • taking money from Reid Hoffman with promises to remove Lena khan.

I could go on

It requires being anti genocide. Kamala, you lack this qualification. Retire already. You lost, you deserved to lose, screw you for being pro genocide. We deserved better. The world deserved better. Still does.

[-] TheGoldenV@lemmy.world 173 points 3 days ago

A robust primary to find the best possible candidate?

As much as I might like her, she will not win. No one likes hearing this, but there are simply too many racist and misogynist voters for her to ever win. Then add the fact that a convicted felon and likely pedophile won against her already.

It’s time to move on from the typical DNC bullshit and get someone who will vow to prosecute every last corrupt piece of shit in this current administration and vow to impeach and remove all corrupt judges and justices, especially those put there by this administration.

The DNC needs to stop fucking around.

[-] Furbag@lemmy.world 58 points 3 days ago

If you lose to Donald Trump, you are literally unelectable.

[-] oh_@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

No, you do not.

[-] EtAl@lemmy.dbzer0.com 38 points 2 days ago

I know what it requires

Do you? You were happy to fund Bibi's genocide in Gaza, and it lost you the election. You moved to the right, and it lost you the election. You wouldn't distance yourself from Biden, and it lost you the election.

Take the hint.

She's an idiot to think her loss to a convict and rapist was anyone's fault but her own. She'll have even less of a chance against any reasonable candidate.

[-] SippyCup@lemmy.world 55 points 3 days ago

"I bet you won't vote for a woman!"

... Ok... Do you have any policy positions we should know about?

"You wouldn't vote for THAT guy over a woman would you?!"

Please ... We literally just want healthc-

"LOOK, REPUBLICANS THAT DON'T LIKE HIM!"

Go home and stay there, you are not wanted, your fight is done.

You lost and you can never be what this world and country needs right now.

Fuck Newsome too.

I don't want centrist Republican playmates, I want progressive left scorched earth justice.

[-] KelvarCherry@piefed.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 days ago

I wouldn't worry much about this. I say we wait until she actually steps up to the primary, and then we collectively smear her until she steps down, or ends up with the results she had in the 2020 primary.

[-] BillCheddar@lemmy.world 32 points 2 days ago

Kamala and I have one more thing in common: We have the same exact chance of being elected President in 2028.

Given by her parties recent rulings on how to deal with AIPAC, I don't believe anyone in that party knows what it requires.

[-] prole 12 points 2 days ago
[-] zd9@lemmy.world 50 points 3 days ago

NO.

GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM NATIONAL POLITICS.

[-] MehBlah@lemmy.world 50 points 3 days ago

In order to win it requires you to fuck off somewhere else.

[-] core@leminal.space 11 points 2 days ago

The DNC has won in court on the premise that they are a private institution and can nominate whoever they want and put whoever they want on the ballot.

[-] kreskin@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago

Its fine, she has zero chance of winning a primary.
