[-] TomMasz@piefed.social 27 points 2 months ago

Not a theologian, but I think this is blasphemy.

[-] Hylactor@sopuli.xyz 21 points 2 months ago

I would drink this at least once.

[-] HuntressHimbo@lemmy.zip 16 points 2 months ago

I've tried it, its pretty meh but that was far better than I expected

[-] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 6 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

With the separation; do the flavours blend at all?

[-] HuntressHimbo@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 months ago

Yes, the mountain dew sort of bubbles through the beer. You get a distinct citrusy flavor and an added sweetness

[-] FrowingFostek@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

I have no idea why my brain thinks Mountain-Dew is a more yellow color. I'd try it if were MD.

Muinness - pronounced "menace".

[-] _stranger_@lemmy.world 17 points 2 months ago

I was reminded, after showing this to a friend, that I once tried to make cocktails out of bad tequila and Steven Segal's asian experience energy drink, and so I can pass no judgement. Godspeed you crazy fool

[-] bss03@infosec.pub 13 points 2 months ago

Aged like fine gatorwine.

Guinster?

Gunster?

Moness?

[-] WhiteOakBayou@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago

Initially I was surprised that the Guinness is less dense than the monster but then I realized I've never drank 4 monsters in a sitting and maybe that's why.

[-] ozymandias@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 months ago

i reckon the nitro monster helps?
also it’s probably entirely fake.
wow, i just realized we’ve crossed over from “pic or it didn’t happen” to “video with moving camera or it didn’t happen”….
eventually it will be “hologram or it didn’t happen”

[-] WhiteOakBayou@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

If nitro monster means it uses nitrogen instead of CO2 for fizz, Guinness (15 or so years ago anyway) uses nitrogen too. We will need a hologram displaying verifiable totp keys to authenticate though.

[-] ozymandias@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 months ago

yes the guiness drought cans use nitrous oxide, but the monster uses nitro glycerin….
no wait….
well the guiness has alcohol which is less dense than water….
fine, i’ll make one and report back

[-] WhiteOakBayou@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

People have been killed for less :)

[-] redlemace@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Loce didn't do it, he was at my place, we've been sitting in the yard with a fire while drinking guinness all night

[-] FuyuhikoDate@feddit.org 7 points 2 months ago

I have to ask.... How does it taste?

[-] n4ch1sm0@piefed.social 6 points 2 months ago

As off-putting as it is, I am also burdened with the curiosity of this sentiment...

[-] DJKJuicy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago

I need this information. Plz.

[-] SkunkWorkz@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

This is how you get on the Ireland’s Most Wanted list

[-] TheEighthDoctor@lemmy.zip 7 points 2 months ago

I've seen this enough that I will have to try it, fuck it

[-] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 6 points 2 months ago

Cast it into the fire! Destroy it!

[-] SethTaylor@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

I drink neither beer nor energy drinks but I can taste that in my mouth

[-] its_kim_love 5 points 2 months ago

I don't know how people drink those. I prefer Gos.

[-] real_squids@sopuli.xyz 5 points 2 months ago

Great shitpost.

[-] Averagejoe@lemmy.org 5 points 2 months ago

[-] GalacticSushi 8 points 2 months ago

The monsterfuckers all clicked that link

[-] Berengaria_of_Navarre@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

Truthfully, I'm a little disappointed.

[-] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 2 points 2 months ago

Aww no caffeine.

The idiot teenager I used to be would've loved to try four loko, but that wasn't a thing here. I guess it's better for me that it wasn't. At least jägermeister with local energy drinks wasn't good enough to try again.

[-] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Yeah you still have to order your bad idea custom, whether it's an irish coffee or a red bull + liquor. Or just mix everclear and caffeine powder at home.

[-] pseudo@jlai.lu 4 points 2 months ago

I remember a show where that thing launched an zombie epidemic.

[-] GeneralEmergency@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Plastic paddies drink this and say "Chucky our lad"

[-] _stranger_@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Moderator Guidelines

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
