I hope this clip helps to calm down all the fans out there who were outraged that Paramount’s marketing put out one key art poster targeted at another demographic.
You’re not suggesting that Star Trek fans might have had a negative overreaction to something just because it wasn’t 110% familiar and comfortable for them, are you? Why, that would be unprecedented.
lol nah, instead of the show they'll go watch YouTubers who will tell them to ignore their lying eyes and continue to reiterate that the show is actually a teen drama.
Remember how the main overarching plot of Discovery was all about gender dysmorphia? And how that's all anyone on the show ever talked about? No? Well, according to Youtube it was.
I was expecting 50 minutes of them holding hands under a tree!

feels like they keep moving to the next new trek show, after the previous have been so bad just to escape the criticism, stick and fix the old ones. and dont use people like kurtzman, or similar to showrun.
It may feel that way, but there is a lot of evidence pointing to that not being true.
Five seasons for Disco, SNW, and LD. I’d love more, but I think that’s respectable for streaming series. Doesn’t seem like they’re trying to escape anything.

I think I will need to be sold a bit on Holly Hunter, but otherwise this looks pretty great and much better than I expected when announced.

In all seriousness, from what I've seen Picardo say about the Doctor's state of mind, I wonder if he abandoned any name(s) he'd chosen as he watched his loved ones grow old and die.
Yeah, Holly Hunter’s voice is a tad difficult for me to understand clearly from the clip, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it…
